Chapter - 28

Priya's Pov:

My peaceful sleep was disturbed when Aakash woke me up. But I snuggled more into my pillow and covered my face with blanket. Then I heard

"Please wake up Priya"

"2 minutes Aakash"

"But you have been saying this since past hour"

"Please Aakash"

"Priya it's about  .."

Then I heard door bell ringing and Aakash left our room to answer the door. I thanked that person mentally but then I heard Aakash shouting. I was scared and brushed my teeth and combed my hair and changed from my night dress to saree. But by the time I reached the living room Aakash was closing the door.

*wow you got ready so fast* my brain sarcastically.

I ignored and asked Aakash

"Who was that?"

"No one" he answered seriously and left to answer his phone calls.

*Huh? Something is wrong* my brain and I nodded as I also felt the same.

I immediately went towards the door and opened it to know with whom Aakash spoke. But when opened the door the watchman of our apartment was still standing there. I looked at him with a big question mark, then he said

"Mam, today there is a meeting in our apartment and I am here to invite sir"

"Oh ok, I will inform my husband about it"

He nodded and was about to leave then I asked

"At what time meeting is there? And what is it about ?"

He hesitated for a moment but then said

"Well..its ...it's..about you, mam"

*What?* my brain questioned

"About me?" I questioned

He nodded and said

"Toady early morning police came in their jeep to talk with you and meeting is about it only"

*Why haven't Aakash said me about it*

*You were busy resting and didn't get up* my brain said.

"What? Police came here? But why?"

"Sorry mam, I don't know"

"Oh ok"

He left and I closed the door and ran towards Aakash.

"Aakash did police came here?"

He nodded and started working on his laptop. I tapped his hand and asked

"Why did they come here?"

He looked towards me and said

"They just want to know whether you are fine or not"

"Oh ok"

He then went back working on his laptop. I hesitated for asking another question but finally tapped his hand again. He looked at me and said

"This is a stupid society Priya"

"Huh? What are you speaking Aakash?"

"Today there is a meeting in our apartment about the police visit"

"But..."
