Jaxon's POV:

"You can't see their face." Mum said as she let out a sigh.

"Are you kidding me?!" I said out of frustration as I rewound the recording to watch it again. As I watched the clip I was praying for some kind of clue, anything to indicate who would damage my car like this.

"Why didn't you park it in the garage, Jaxon." Mum said.

I let out a frustrated growl as I paused the camera, "Because I'm a fucking moron mum."

"Language!" Mum yelled at me.

"Sorry." I said as I let out a sigh.

"I know you're angry but what's done is done. We'll just have to organise replacements. Call Drew and get this sorted out. In the meantime, the cops found a piece of hair and a fingerprint, let them do their job."

"They aren't doing it fast enough." I responded back.

"Your situation isn't really a priority to them."

I watched the paused monitor as my mum walked away, angry that this piece of shit got away with damaging my car like that. I shook my head in anger as I turned the monitor off before walking away from my computer. The more I tried to watch this video the angrier I was getting.

"They literally found a finger print on my car, why can't they just run it in the system." I asked, frustration in my tone.

"Like I said, a bunch of smashed windows is annoying paperwork for them honey. You're just going to have to wait." Mum calmly responded back as she worked away in the kitchen.

I let out an angry sigh, "I'm going to go clean up the mess." I said before storming out into the garage. When I entered the garage I couldn't help but get angry at the site of my car, it would seem so trivial to people but I've put everything into this car and to have someone just smash my windows and leave, infuriates me. I shook my head in disappointment as I grabbed the broom and started to sweep the broken glass on the floor. While doing so I couldn't help but wonder what Avery was doing. I made a mental note to message her later to update her on whats happened so she wouldn't stress out. But, I knew the quicker I cleaned this the quicker I could go back to her. Something in my gut made me feel uneasy with leaving her alone.

I was halfway through cleaning the big pieces up when my mum walked in with a mop in hand, to clean out the tiny shards that couldn't be swept up.

"It's okay mum. I can do it." I said as I walked to the bin.

"I know you can honey, but I will help you. It will be quicker this way." She said as she began to mop the areas I had already swept.

Once the outside was done we began to clean inside the car. All in all it took us about half an hour to clean the glass. After thanking my mum she went back inside to start on dinner. Here I sat at the drivers seat, contemplating what to do next. I decided to just clean out my car seeming I was here and had shit everywhere. Deciding with my glove box I opened it up, surprised to see a note just sitting there staples to a photo.

Confused by this I grabbed it and opened it up to read it.

"How does it feel to lose something that you value? That you have no control of preventing? You took what was mine, it's time for me to take her back but this time.... you will feel the pain I'm going to put you through. Don't worry, she'll feel it too"
