Chapter 40 - To The Movies
Xyder Zephyr - POV;
"Okay my Underlings, here is the plan! The Mayor asked that we don't all go in at once since they have to keep the Trials open to their allied Clans. As such, we shall do this in groups! Storm, Satella, Jacqueline and Dagan will head up there today and Take the Trials!" Evie stated triumphantly.
"Evie.... you are aware that this would leave just Rydia and Fira to undergo it right? For one the groups aren't split well and not to mention that even if three of them went today that would probably take up most of the day," I pointed out the facts to my eager sister.
"Psh. I know that! It's just that we need to get moving quickly and I hoped to leave here tomorrow. Besides, the audacity of the Mayor of this town to tell me to how to lead my group. Idiot," Evie grumbled.
"So be it," I sighed, "So what will us four do for the rest of today?"
"Well I'm heading to the library for some research. As for you, Fira and Rydia," Evie paused and seemed deep in thought, "Oh I know! The three of you can go have-"
"Shut up Evie," I interrupted her.
"Eeeeeeeh? I was going to say have lunch....." she pouted.
"Sure you were, you damn pervert!" I spat.
"I waaas!"
After splitting the group a couple of days prior, we headed towards the nearby Town of Riverside Valley. The town, which had maintained a long time relationship with Neptulus City, owned one of the many Caves of Trials scattered throughout the world. After a short conversation with the leader of Neptulus, the Elemental Clan of Water, we were granted limited and temporary access to the Cave. Within a week's time, we had arrived.
"So what should we do now?" I asked the two girls awkwardly once the others departed.
"We could go for lunch like Evelynn suggested," Rydia answered.
"But that's so boring!" Fira complained, "We have an entire day to waste away."
"Then how about we go to the movies? There's this new superhero romance movie I've heard some of the girls talking about," Rydia proposed.
"Hmm? What's it called?" Fira inquired, "And what did they say about it?"
"It's Elemental Hero and uh," Rydia fidgetted in place, "the main guy is really cute."
"Sounds good. It's a date then!" Fira announced.
"Wait, what about me?" I asked.
"Well, you can come if you want," Fira cocked her head slightly.
"Uh, sure I guess....."
* * * *
"Look at the line in this place!" I exclaimed as I let out a low whistle.
"It seems that the show is alot more popular than I thought. Sorry guys," Rydia apologised.
"It's fine, I'll get us in," Fira said as she squeezed her way through the crowd. A brief moment later, a loud cry erupted abrubtly, "Don't touch me there perv!"
Security rushed in to disperse the people repeating, "Who said that? Where are you? Miss?"
When the voice's owner failed to respond, the lines were allowed to reform and as anticipated a red haired girl was at the front of the box office queue.
