Chapter 43

After the amazing seven minutes in heaven with my husband, truth or dare unfortunately continued. The dares were weak though, it was the truths you had to look out for now; and those weren't bad either. I guess our creativity skills have dimmed greatly.

"Gimpy, truth or dare?" Uriah asked me.

"Dare," I said bluntly.

"I dare you to go find out the gender of your baby right now." He demanded. I responded by taking of my outermost shirt. It has been only the first thing I removed.

Christina and Uriah both frowned but I shrugged them off. "Will, truth or dare?"

"Uh, I'll go with truth." He decided.

A chorus of voices yelling, "PANSYCAKE!" echoed the room. That's why truths are what you have to look out for.

"What is your most embarrassing fear?" I asked him.

His cheeks colored a little and he took off Christina's dress. Now he was only in boxers.

I started to zone out when Will dared Zeke to do seven minutes in heaven with Shawna. Tobias' breath tickled my ear as he asked, "Do you want to leave?"

I gave a slight nod and stood up. "Well, everyone, as much fun as this has been, Tobias and I are going to head out." A series of high pitched whines followed my statement.

When I was in the process of leaving, Uriah grabbed my good leg to try and prevent me from leaving. Instead, he just made me fall into the wall, on my uninjured side, thank God. "Dammit Uriah." I said. "Knock it off." He mumbled sorry and turned back to the game.

Tobias kicked him hard in the side when he passed him, and I could hear Uriah's groaning from the hallway. I gave him a look and he just said, "He deserved it."

I laughed a little and started off towards the apartment. Now that I thought about it, we're going to need a different apartment. The standard ones only have one bedroom. They have family apartments that have two or three bedrooms. I brought this up to Tobias and he agreed. "This kid is not sleeping in our bed when he or she is sixteen years old."

That statement made me laugh again. "What time is it?" I asked him. He looked down at his bare wrist and pretended to study it.

"Let's see…" he began.

"Knock it off," I said laughing. "Why aren't there clocks out here?"

Tobias shrugged. "Who knows? I guess the Dauntless don't care much about time management."

"Maybe we should start," I suggested, and I wasn't talking about clocks.

My husband turned to look at me. His face was serious. "Maybe we should. We already have less time then we should've had. It would be smart to get started."

"It's not like we have to do everything now; just make a plan of what we need and what we're going to do when the baby comes. Like work situations and stuff like that."

"Good idea, Mrs. Eaton. Shall we start in the morning?" he asked with a horrible accent.

I, using the same accent, replied with, "Yes we shall, Mr. Eaton."

-Page Break-

Turns out, it was almost three in the morning when we got back to the apartment. So by the time we woke up, it was nearly eleven. Since I only have the use of one arm, I still haven't completely gone back to work. Sometimes I go in and help Tori with sorting the ink and stuff like that, but I can't actually do any tattoos until my brace comes off.

When I woke up, Tobias was still asleep. He, unlike myself, drank a little last night. Not so much to get him like Zeke, but enough to give him a headache this morning. I set some pills on the counter and put a glass of water next to it.

Since it might be a little while before Tobias woke up, I decided to hop in the shower. I didn't smell the greatest.

When I got out, Tobias was up, sitting at the counter, his head in his hands. I noticed that the pills were gone.

I snuck up behind him and wrapped my arms around his waist. My head was resting on his shoulder. "You smell." I informed him. "Bad."

He groaned. "I am never drinking again. EVER!"

I laughed. "Did you have a little more than you thought?"

"More like a lot more." He spun around on the stool and kissed my cheek. "I'm going to take a shower." He said.

When he walked away I shouted, "The hot water's all gone!" He groaned again, very loudly. I chuckled to myself and started to get dressed. Since I didn't have to do anything, I dressed lazily; one of Tobias' shirts and a pair of running shorts.

I sat at the counter, a pad of paper and a pen in front of me. At the top of the paper was List of Things We Need to Do.

I decided to wait until Tobias came out to get started. He most likely had ideas that I didn't have. Fortunately, Tobias takes quick showers so I didn't have to wait very long. He quickly put on some clothes and sat next to me.

"There's nothing written down," he observed. "Is this your way of telling me that I have to plan everything?"

I socked him in the arm. "No you idiot. I was just waiting for you. Of course I don't expect you to plan everything. Only most of it."

"Why do I have to do almost everything?" he complained.

"Because you're not the one pushing this baby out." I said sharply. "I have the harder job and you know it."

He mumbled under his breath, too low for me to decipher what he said. He took the paper from me and started to jot some things down. When he was done, he slid the paper over to me.

Crib

Diapers

"That's all you got? A crib and diapers?" I asked.

"I am a man. I don't think about this kind of stuff." He said.

"So? I'm a woman and I don't think about this stuff and you know it." I said. A little irritated, I started to write down some other things.

Baby toys

Clothes (yellow and green)

Baby blankets

Formula

Talk to Max about new apartment

That's when I ran out of ideas. Tobias took the list from me and examined it. "Why yellow and green?"

"Because I don't want to get the wrong colored clothes." I stated. "I don't want to buy pink clothes and then have a boy. That would just be odd. And we'd only get a few outfits and get the rest after the baby's born."

"Wouldn't we just get black?" Tobias inquired.

"Oh yeah. Didn't realize that." I crossed out the other colors and wrote black in their place.

"I have an idea!" Tobias exclaimed. He stole the paper from me and scrawled something on it.

Baby backpack

"Really?"
