We called an Uber to get there and I got my key out of my pocket to open the door. I guess I didn't have to because my mom opened the door instead. She quietly ran out the door and hugged me. We were all whisper-yelling so we didn't wake anyone else up. I introduced her to Max and we went inside. It smells like childhood.

"It's Simba!" I quietly yelled. I pointed to my orange cat who was walking around me in a circle. I sat on the floor and petted her for a little bit. Max and I got up and went upstairs to my old room, which we were gonna have to share. This will be just like Paris.

A flood of nostalgia overcame me when I walked into the room. It was really weird. My mom came upstairs and passed us to go to her and my dad's bedroom. "Goodnight, get some rest for tomorrow. You'll need it," She said. Max and I said our goodnights and shut the door. "I see where you get your motherliness from," Max added with a smile. I laughed and nodded.

I looked around the room a little. This was a really weird feeling. And I still get it every time I visit. I heard a crack and turned around to see that Simba broke into my room. I laughed and went over and closed the door again. Simba got on the bed and layed down. I put my suitcase in my corner and opened it to find pajamas.

While searching, I could tell that Max went over and started petting Simba because I could hear the purrs. I smiled and found what I was looking for. I walked quietly into the bathroom that connected my room and my little sister's room. I closed both doors and quickly changed.

I guess Max also changed because when I walked out to put my other clothes back in my suitcase he was in pajamas. I shrugged and walked back to the bathroom. Max did too. We had the same idea. I started brushing my teeth and he did the same. After that, I washed my face quickly. Max went and sat down on the bed and checked his phone.

"Max, You're fingerprint is in my phone right?" I asked him from across the room. "Yeah, why?" He asked. "Can you change my alarm from 8 to 10:15?" I asked. He nodded and reached across for my phone. I turned around and turned the bathroom light off. Before I layed down I opened the door connected my little sister's room and the bathroom and peeked in. I saw her phone light meaning she was awake.

I walked in, "Hey. Go to sleep," I said with a laugh. "I do what I want." She responded, laughing. She got down from the top bunk. I was always jealous of her room. She had bunk beds but the bottom bed was a desk. It's basically a loft.

She came down and I walked closer to her. I hugged her and said my goodnights. She went back up and waved. Closed the door and turned off the lights in my room. Max looked up and over at me. I sat down in bed and plugged in my charger. I made sure my phone was charging and that Max's was too. I looked over and saw that he was changing his alarm too, same time as mine. That means two alarms going off at once. Oh well. I rolled over to my other side to face the window.

"Night, Max.," I said.

"Night, Y/N," He replied.

This is the start to a good week.

~timeskip brought to you by its past midnight, im hungry, and extremely sick still.~

I woke up to two alarm going off. I was right.

Practically in sync, we both turned over and stopped the alarm. I stretched a bit before I sat up and then actually stood up. "Well, good morning," I said. "Likewise," He mumbled and sat up. He checked his phone and I walked to the bathroom. I did my usual morning routine and so did Max, which we were both used to; Paris prepared us for this.

"I guess we can start unpacking then," I said. He nodded and went over to his suitcase. We split the closet in half, which was easy because we're only here for a week.

We were both almost done when I heard my mom call my name from downstairs. I started to walk out of the room, I saw Max standing by the doorway checking his phone and taking it off the charger. I poked his shoulder and said, "Tag." I immediately started running down the hallway and stairs laughing. I ran past my mom and gave her a sign that I will be right there. Max was right behind me and we ended up going around between the dining room and kitchen until he caught me.

We walked over to my mom and she just started laughing as well. "Alrighty then, go wake up everyone else and tell them to get their butts down here for french toast," She said. I nodded and Max followed me upstairs. I turned to look at my mom and she mouthed the words, 'tag him.' I laughed and made it to the top of the stairs and down the hallway. I turned around and tagged Max and then quickly ran into everyone's rooms, waking them up and trying not to get tagged.

Soon enough we were all sat down eating french toast. I would say that's a 10/10 morning. Josh spoke up, "Well we have two newbie's here. Are we gonna sit in a circle like kindergarteners or do actual introductions?" I laughed, "The circle is more fun but- wait" I interrupted myself, "Who's the other newbie? I didn't see them."

"Christina. She's upstairs," He replied. I practically screamed and ran up to Josh's room. I haven't met Josh's finance yet, but I was, obviously, really excited too. I found her and hugged her. She giggled and I brought her downstairs. She sat next to Josh at the table and we started introductions. "I'll introduce the original newbie first then," I said.

"Uhm, everyone this is Max, my best friend, Max this is Josh, my brother, Christina, his fiance, Jenna, my little sister, obviously you met Simba, and then Dani and Luke, my mom and dad. Yay new people," I said and clapped. Everyone gave a smile. Josh introduced Christina to everyone and I gave her a welcoming smile so she knew she could trust me. She nodded in response and we went into a normal conversation about our plans for today.

I was talking to Jenna about how her school year is going and how she likes marching band. Or at least I was up until Max tapped my forehead and said one simple word, "Tag." Jenna giggled, I think she knew he was about to do it and he was just distracting me. I slowly turned to Max and he got up. I chased after him until he tried hiding underneath the blanket on our bed. I tackled him instead and tagged him.

I casually walked down the stairs laughing with Max following behind. We were even. For now. I helped my mom wash dishes while Max somehow ended up talking to Josh. I finished helping and walked over to them. While I was walking I noticed my brother looked like he couldn't remember a word, and suddenly one popped into my head.

"Dufferin Grove?" I said walking up to Josh. He and Max looked at me very confused, "How did you know?" Josh questioned. "It's the twin thing again," I explained. "Well yeah, I was telling Max about the park nearby cause we were talking about how you wanted to go to all the childhood spots and I couldn't remember the name and then you came out of nowhere with it," he explained. I shrugged and walked back upstairs.

Soon enough, Max came upstairs and sat down on my bed next to me. We talked about my family and how they always make jokes.

All of a sudden, Max tapped my back and tagged me. Of course, I had to chase after him and we ended up running after each other in circles a couple times until I caught him again and we both calmed down. I can tolerate this. It feels like I'm a child again.
