Yes or No 3 (Kim and Pie)

Pie’s PoV

I woke up and realized that I had fallen asleep on top of Kim.

Kim’s still asleep.  She probably slept late just as to make sure that I’d sleep peacefully last night.

I didn’t want to wake her up so I got off her slowly and went to the bathroom.  I looked at the mirror and saw my eyes swollen.  It’s definitely because of crying. I washed my face and brushed my teeth.

I got out of the bathroom and sat on the bed. My stomach growled.

Hungry me...

I was surprised when someone grabbed my waist.

"Good morning, Pie." Of course it was Kim.

I looked back at her only to see her smile with her eyes closed still.

I pulled her arm on my waist and stood up. "I’ll prepare breakfast."

I walked towards the door and before I got out, "Feeling better? she asked.  Kim was now looking at me.

I looked back at her nodding and smiling.

I stepped out of her room and closed the door. And walked downstairs.

Okay, I lied.  I’m really not okay. We got back together just over a month.  I’m definitely not sure if I over reacted last night but... I haven’t totally forgotten how she cheated on me, specifically the pain I went through before.  I admit, I have trust issues against Kim, I think that’s natural.

My thoughts were stopped when I realized Kim’s dad was sitting on the table, reading a news paper while having his coffee.

"Good morning, dad."

"Good morning, Pie.  Come, sit down and eat."  He said.

I realized that breakfast was already served.  I sat down on an empty chair and started placing food on my plate.

"Uhmm... Pie, is Kim still asleep?"  He asked again.

"She was awake for a while but then went back to sleep.  I think she’ll wake up before lunch." I answered.

He just nodded. And we stayed silent.  I could feel him glancing at me often.

Okay, this is awkward.  I feel like he wants to say something but couldn’t say it.  It probably is about the conference.

I broke the silence, "Dad... About the conference.. Uhmm.. Can you give me a little more time to decide?"

He placed his news paper on the table and looked at me. "Of course.  I understand.  I know what the two of you are going through.  I completely understand.  I just want to tell you that tiu two has to work on your trust issues and fix it sooner or it may harm your relationship in the future."  He said calmly.

I nodded.

I finished the food and thanked him.  I walked back to Kim’s room and went to the bathroom.

I let warm water flow to the tub.  I took my clothes off and dipped myself in.

That’s better.

I leaned my body on the tub.  I closed my eyes tried to relax my mind.

Suddenly, the door was shut open and I saw Kim came in running.

We both were surprised.  Kim’s eyes were wide open and I’m sure mine is too.  Kim was standing there, looking at me like she forgot what she came in for.
