(Alex's POV)

The building was now in the process of being renovated into the club. I had given my idea to the local interior designer and he immediately got to work with a team. My work here was done apart from supervise and design a cocktail and drinks menu along with the style of music I wanted the club to have and hiring staff.

I was currently in the process of interviewing potential employees. I had already gained all the bar staff I would need for both the upstairs and downstairs bars. As I had promised Piper, the pole dancers were far from my type. Honestly, Piper didn't need to worry about anyone being my type, since I had found Piper, no one was my type except her.
All I needed now were bouncers and an entertainment company who would agree to bring in different DJs and artists every night. This was going to be such a long day.

I had spent the morning instructing builders and various other workmen where to put everything.
"Ok, I want the main bar up here on the top floor to the right with a lounge area on the left. Black and red leather seats and dark wood tables. I want a steel railing overlooking the dance floor with a raised long table attached to it for stools to sit at, again black leather stools at the lounge area. I want this same steel railing to be the railing of the staircase down to the dance floor." I tell them.
"Sure thing boss. What about the poles for the pole dancers, where do you want those to go?" They answered.
"On the left hand side behind the dance floor downstairs. Give them a raised platform. I don't want my staff getting felt up unless they ask for it. Actually, I don't want people coming off the street thinking they can do whatever they want in my club. Give them a velvet rope too and make the VIP area for me, my wife, our friends and family secluded and behind them, with extra velvet ropes."

Hours later I opened the door to my hotel suite and flopped onto the bed. Backwards. Sighing. Yesterday I had bought the building, today I had started to renovate it and interview staff. Tomorrow I had to design a drinks menu then find an entertainment company for music. Then finally it would be Friday and I would be home. Thank god it was a working week of 5 days and not a full 7 days. Ugh, the thought of one Mrs Piper Vause being with me right now was amazing plus I could use her help, doing all of this on my own was stressful with a capital S.

I saw the briefcase with the extra $50,000 sitting on one of the couches in the living area of my suite. I got changed into a cocktail dress, grabbed it and headed down to the casino. I mean what else was I supposed to do? There was nothing on TV, I wasn't hungry yet and most predominantly on my mind, there was no Piper.

I took a seat at the raised poker table that Piper had been playing at 8 years ago with my colleagues and clients when she won $7 million. I had reserved it back then, it was still reserved, just for anyone rich enough or well known enough to play at it. I was becoming both, PoPi was global, mine and Piper's clubs were becoming almost global and people were starting to know the Vause name. So, I was allowed to play at the table. I swapped my cash for chips and began to play. I remembered what my mom had told me back when I was a kid and had just gone through another day of torture from Jessica Wedge and her gang of bullies, "You are cool, they're gonna wish they were you."
What was it with moms and having a knack to always being right? I mean, I was in a drug cartel which made me rich, I had met the love of my life who happened to be so beautiful and kind it hurt to think about her sometimes, we travelled all over the world together, both of us got rich, I had bought a boat, I had been to prison with the love of my life, got out, got married to her in Hawaii, bought her an island with a house for us to live in when we vacationed there, almost lost her and dealt with her attempted assassin, helped her make her business global and now was on my way to making our nightclubs a global success. I had lived. I bet Jessica was off somewhere with 4 kids, a crippling mortgage and a husband who fooled around on her. My mom was right. My life was pretty great. I smiled to myself.

A few hours later, I too had won with a royal flush like Piper had years ago and had won with 10x the amount I came with, $500,000. I called it a good day and night and went to bed.
