(Alex's POV)

"Piper!" I called after her but she was gone with a slam of our door.
"FUCK!" I yelled into our empty apartment and slid down the door Piper had just slammed, sinking to the floor.

It had been hours since our fight and Piper still hadn't returned home. I was now extremely worried and had been calling her endlessly but she wasn't answering.
"AAAAAH!" I screamed and threw my cell phone across the room. I really wished Piper would come home or at least answer her phone, I was really worried and really sorry.
An idea came to me as I got up and picked up my cell phone, on a mission to find my wife, I called Polly.
Unlike Piper, Polly picked up after the first ring.
"Polly?! Have you seen or heard from Piper?!" I quickly asked her, hoping the answer would be yes.
"Well Alex, you're in luck, I have. She stormed into her office here at PoPi hours ago and has had the door shut with her face buried in paperwork. It looks like she's been crying." Polly told me.
I sighed in relief and also frustration at myself that I'd made her cry.
"Aw thank God. I'll be there in 5. Thank you Polly!" I thanked her and hang up.
Before I left, I looked at my suitcase that I hadn't unpacked yet from Paris. There was a certain surprise I'd packed for Piper that I'd never gotten round to using. Another idea came to me.
I went to our bedroom, changed and came out smirking, wearing my beige trench coat with its belt tie tied.
When I got outside, I immediately got into my new Maserati that Piper had bought for me and sped to PoPi.

(Piper's POV)

Our office doors and walls were entirely glass except the two at the side so when the elevator doors opened to reveal my wife, I saw and wasn't amused. Alex gave me a brief glance and walked straight for and into Polly's office. I couldn't help that this made me feel annoyingly jealous, confused and even angrier so I continued to bury myself in the mountain of paperwork that had built up on my desk while we were in Paris.

(Alex's POV)

I knocked the door to Polly's office and she waved me in.
"Hi Polly, listen, I really need to apologise to Pipes so I'd appreciate it if we got no interruptions." I explained to her.
She raised her eyebrows,
"What have you done now Supercunt?" She asks.
It was my turn to raise an eyebrow,
"I'll pretend you didn't ask that." I told her, referring to her calling me 'supercunt' and continued,
"Anyway, Piper and I are trying to have a family and she got a negative pregnancy test and we had a fight." I told her.
"Oh my God! Congrats you guys! And commiserations I guess." She said.
I sadly smiled,
"Thanks, but as I said, could you maybe give us a few minutes? I have an apology to make. A huge one." I ask her, definitely planning on extending the 'few minutes' I'd asked for.
"Okay sure, but if you plan on going on more sexcapades with Pipe, you really do have my word that I will go nowhere near her office for a long time." She assures me, smiling.
I said nothing but smirk at the little plan up my sleeve.
At my silence and smirk, she continued,
"Oh God you are planning that aren't you?" She asks, shocked.
"I'm not saying anything." I replied gleefully and started to head for my wife's office.
"Good luck with that! She's really pissed at you! I wouldn't be surprised if you're on the couch tonight!" Polly calls after me.
I looked over my shoulder,
"We'll see." I smirked and turned back around to continue walking straight for my unsuspecting wife.

(Piper's POV)

I looked up at the movement outside my office and could see Alex gleefully stride towards my office and her attempt at hiding her smirk failed because I saw it. It just annoyed me even more so I rolled my eyes, stood up and locked my door before going back to my desk. Alex was too good at apologies and saying all the right things. Fuck that, I wanted to be mad at her goddammit.
When she got to my door, she looked me straight in the eye and stubbornly pulled out her spare set to my office and unlocked it again. Fuck.
"I'm your wife dumbass, I'll always have a spare set." She quips.
I ignored her and continued signing off on the paperwork, silently cursing Polly for telling Alex where I was.
Alex tries again.
"Come on babe I'm sorry. I really am. What I said was horrible and I didn't mean it at all. You know all I've ever wanted is a family and a family with you would be a dream for me." She says and reaches for my hand. I stayed unresponsive and jerked my hand away, not wanting to give in.
Alex pouts, furrows her eyebrows and narrows her eyes, letting out a sigh.
