"Harrison, what are you so nervous about?" his mother, Janice, questioned.

Harrison messed with the collar of his shirt as he glanced over at her. "What?"

Janice laughed. "You've been fixing your collar for the past minute. What's wrong?"

He stared at her for a moment before sighing. "I really like this girl, Mom. I've only just met but she's... she's just incredible."

She beamed at him, thrilled to see how strongly he felt about this girl. It had been a while since Harrison had real feelings for a girl, and it overjoyed her that he was so determined.

"She's here!" Harrison's father Louis called from the other room. Harrison swallowed as he heard the door swing open and Andi's voice ring out.

He hadn't lied when he stated he really liked Andi. She was funny, sweet, adorable, and perfect in Harrison's mind. He was eager to get to know her better. Yet, he couldn't help but worry if he would accidentally ruin his chances with her.

He took a heavy breath before making his way towards the door, where he could hear Andi talking with his father. He couldn't help but grin when she giggled, but suppressed it as he rounded the corner. However, he broke out in a grin again when he laid his eyes on her.

The sight of Andi in that gorgeous black dress almost took Harrison's breath away. She grinned cheerfully when she saw him, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear as they took in the sight of each other.

Harrison had never been to prom before, despite being a senior. But, he felt confident that whatever transpired, he wouldn't regret it in the slightest.

He had been nervous to ask Andi to prom. She and Harrison didn't know each other that well; they merely had a few classes together. Still, Harrison had developed feelings for her and made a successful attempt at becoming her friend just a couple weeks before he asked her to the beloved dance.

Obviously, Andi had said yes. As nervous as Harrison had been, it was worth it to get a yes from her. He was certain the stress he felt for the dance itself would be well worth it.

For Harrison and Andi, the night was laden with chatting with friends, slow dancing, and just getting to know each other better. Neither were big dancing people, but their friends had dragged them in for a couple of songs.

At the end of the night, Harrison dropped Andi off at her home. He insisted on escorting her to her door even though Andi told him he really didn't have to. Really, his plan was to kiss her.

When it came to executing it, however, Harrison had trouble.

"I'll see you on Monday," Andi told him, opening the screen door. Harrison could merely nod. As she turned to open the main door, Harrison grabbed onto her wrist, causing her to spin around to face him. He pulled her towards him, not saying anything as he pressed his lips to hers.
