LOUIS

"Shoo, shoo!" Niall whisper-yells, waving up up the stairs as he hears Nadia knocking at the door to pick him up.

We all run up the stairs and go into his room. Something about even just sitting on his bed feels weird.

I still sit there though, pulling my phone out of my back pocket and scrolling through social media so I can try to forget about being nervous - doesn't make much sense, but nothing I ever do makes sense. For goodness sakes, I'm falling in love with my best fucking friend. He's a guy, I'm a guy - the only thing wrong with that is that I'm not gay! So why the hell do I like him more than a friend? All because of a dream? It doesn't make sense.

"Lou!" I shoot my head up and look at Hazza who is laughing at me. "We've been saying your name for like, ten seconds. Finally."

"Sorry," I laugh, putting my phone away and paying attention to my friends.

"Wanna play video games?" Liam asks, holding out a controller.

I shake my head as I stretch. "I'm a little tired." I lie, laying down on Niall's bed and shutting my eyes.

"Suit yourself, mate." Harry shrugs, turning towards Niall's tv and him and Liam begin to play on his PS4.

I'm woken up by Liam and I furrow my eyes as I didn't think I would've actually fall asleep. I wasn't tired so maybe I was just really bored.

I rub my eyes and turn a little so I can see my friend laughing at me.

"Harry went to get pizza. It's 7pm." Liam tells me. That means I've been asleep for maybe an hour and a half or so.

"Okay," I yawn, sitting up now. Liam sits down on the bed and looks at me with a worried expression, only making me nervous.

"Can we talk?" He asks. "Harry's not here. I know you wouldn't wanna talk about this if he was here, since he jokes a lot."

My friends know me so well, in this case that's not a good thing.

"Payno, I don't know if-"

"You don't have an excuse other than being scared." He tells me. "I've never judged you and never will judge you, unless it's as a joke."

"You can't joke about this." I mutter, giving up the fact that I'm able to hide this from him. It may be nerve wrecking, but I'm gonna have to tell him now.

"I know. I promise I won't." He tells me. "Whatever is going on with you must be serious because you're acting awkward around one of your best friends ever."

"Yeah," I huff lightly, scratching the back of my neck.

"So," Liam sits, repositioning himself on the bed so he can face me better. "Could you start, however you want to explain it?"
