Chapter 4; Movie Nights

We enter home all giggly and hyper, I only noticed that it was around 7:00 pm, roundabout. So I pretty much spent hours with Colby. It was currently dark outside, and we were gonna watch the movie in the living room.

"Did- did you see the way he looked at you?" I burst into fits of giggles. Colby was laughing as well and I felt so alive, I felt like everything was funny.

"And then when I honked the car horn again he flipped his head around so fast that I swear it almost fell off." Colby laughs making me burst and I fall to the ground, I was having a really hard time breathing. I almost had tears in my eyes and Colby laughed at me as I was on the ground and staring at the roof.

My stomach hurts from laughing. "What the hell happened to her?" I heard Corey ask, I let out another giggle over my laughter.

"It's kinda hard to explain," Colby chuckled, and I feel myself close down and I closed my eyes, breathing in and out softly, calming myself down. I then opened my eyes, I had stopped laughing but I was still smiling. I saw that Colby was closer to me and I had sat up, running a hand through my hair. Colby had offered a hand, I took it and he pulled me up and I crashed into his chest by accident.

I coughed into the awkwardness and I stepped away, looking over at Corey who was still looking at us. "Well, what the have you guys been doing?" Corey asks, frowning slightly. "I tried calling you like, ten times but you wouldn't pick up."

I dig my phone out of my pocket it and I forgot that I had turned it right off. I gave him a sorry smile. "I kind of turned it off," I mumble. "Sorry, I would've... if I... yeah," damn, I'm so awkward.

"It's okay, as long as you're safe," Corey tells me with a smile. "You two had fun?"

Colby and I both looked at each other and I giggle, remembering what we were laughing about like two minutes ago. "Yeah," we both answer.

"Okay. Y'all have fun now." Corey tipped us an imaginary hat, I rolled my eyes. He hasn't changed a single bit. I pressed my lips together and I nodded before I walked off into the lounge which wasn't in use, thank goodness.

"It's free!" I sing, smiling brightly. I already have a movie in mind, it's one of my favorite movies. I grabbed the remote but realized I had no idea how to use this TV. Colby had approached me in seconds and I hand him the remote before laughing softly.

I fall back onto the couch, sinking in as I watch Colby turn on the TV and on to movies section. Colby had sat next to me, and my eyes glued to the TV. "What would like to watch, Paisley?"

"The Maze Runner," I grin, thinking of Dylan O'Brien. He is so hot. I personally would love to meet him.

"You good there, Paisley?" Colby asked and I snapped out of whatever daze I was in and gave him a smile. "The movies starting, too."

"I think you'll like it," I tell him. "I've seen it about 100 times and it never gets old. There's also a second and third movie I'm pretty sure they're working on the fourth and fifth, maybe, I don't know- and I'm... I'm ranting off again, sorry," I pushed my glasses up, sighing. "Sorry, just... just play the movie."

He lets out a chuckle. "You sure? I wouldn't mind some facts on this movie." Colby teased and I playfully hit him on the shoulder, before sinking back into the couch, pouting.

"It was a book series before a movie series," I mutter, making Colby chuckle some more. "What? You wanted some facts so I'm throwing them at you."

He played the movie, and Thomas showed on the screen, my eyes traced on TV. "Is this a horror movie?" Colby asked it could be. I didn't answer, so focused on the movie. "Paisley," he sings, brushing some of my hair behind my ear and I noticed that I was leaning so far forward.

"What?" I quickly snapped over to Colby, who looked surprised. I sighed deeply. "Sorry. But uh, I guess you'll just have to find out and see."

"Hey, Paisley," I made out a humming sound, turning my head towards him. "You should try and relax." I let out a scoff.

"I'm relaxing," I tell him, he made a disbelieving sound.

"Uh-huh." Colby scooted closer to me. "Come here."

I frown. "Did I do something wrong?" I quietly asked, confused.

He lets out another chuckle. "No, Paisley, you didn't." He tells me, I smiled, happy with his answer and I leaned back. "So, what did you want?" I asked, and I took note that he wrapped his arm around my shoulder, pulling me closer to him. I guess he wanted this. I didn't say anything and snuggled into him, deciding he smelt good. Which was true, he smelt great. And for what seemed like it, we were here for hours.
