Chapter 39; Back To You

Later that evening, Colby and I were at Colby and Paisley's Point, his wrapped around me and we lean against the fence that prevents us from falling down the bank and we watch the sunset together. I was pressed between the fence and Colby, which I didn't mind.

Colby's chin rested on my head slightly, his arms wrapped around my shoulders and our hands were laced together. This is what I miss, but sometimes I hate because my feelings are getting all mixed and confused. We just stand in silent, my phone going off a few times but I ignored them. Probably Aaron, maybe Jaxon or someone else from the house.

"Two more months..." I say sadly, thinking how different my life will be without these boys in it. I pout slightly, hate thinking that the roommates I have now, won't be my roommates in two months. "Are you going back to Kansas?"

I heard Colby sigh. "Yeah, for a little while, I guess. I'll probably move back next year, though. What about you, are you going back to Texas?"

"I don't know. I guess I have to since I'll be homeless, though, I don't want to go back to Mum and Dad..." I trailed off. "I have no one back in Texas, Colby, what am I going to do?"

"I'm not sure, but you'll figure something out, you always do," Colby reassured me making me pout some more. "But I promise I'll come back for you. Even if I have to move to Texas, I'll be happy with that."

I rolled my eyes lightly at him. "That's a big promise, Colby," I tell him sighing. "I guess you're right, I'm sure y'all will help me figure out what I'm going to do with my life. I'm 22, still haven't figured out what I'm going to do."

"Hey, some people are 30 and they still don't know what they're doing with their lives, you're doing so much better than most people," Colby promised. I sighed again, leave it to Colby to make me feel better about my life.

"Yeah..." I say, not really sure what else I have to say. "I think we should get going now," I looked at the sky, it was now dark. The sparkling stars were out, creating a beautiful scene.

"Hey, let's do something fun tonight," Colby suggested and I squinted my eyes a little bit and I turned around, so now I was facing him very closely which made my heart beat speed up a little bit faster.

"You didn't get much sleep, Colbs," I whisper softly. "Sleep's more important." My feelings right is very annoying, I couldn't exactly think straight. I couldn't think, period.

Colby pouted at me, brushing a loose strand of hair behind my ear. "But I wanna have fun, it'll make up for me being Australia."

I cocked my head at him. "Colby," I say sternly, feeling like a mum. "Sleep. Is. More. Important. Than. Fun." He groaned. "Okay, fine, tell me how much sleep you got on the plane then we'll see."

His faces dropped. I noticed him chewing on his lower lip which seemed to have an effect on me, my eyes removed from his lips and I met him in the eyes. "One or two hours... but in my defense, I was super excited to see you." Colby defended.

I rolled my eyes. "Sleep time it is," I say, grabbing his hand. "Tomorrow we'll have all the fun in the world! We can even go to Time Zone, play some games and such."

"Fine," he groaned and I pulled him along down the hill. Eventually, he had his arm wrapped around my shoulder and my arm around his waist as I snuggled into him as we made it down to the car. "You promise?"

"I promise," I told him and he kissed my head, making me smile.
