Chapter 5; Caught

KATRINA'S POV

I let out a small laugh with Sam as we enter his house, our hands intertwined. It was awfully quiet in the house, which is something we usually don't get unless everyone is out. My eyes wander over to the lounge as I saw the TV was still on, I had dragged Sam along so we could turn off the TV.

Who just leaves the TV on like that? Finding out my answer in three seconds, I let out an awe, seeing Colby and Paisley together intertwined with each other. I looked over at the TV, seeing a movie was played on. I recognized one of the characters, Dylan O'Brien.

Paisley was pretty much snuggled into Colby, Colby's arms were wrapped around her as if he was protecting her from something. Sam had turned off the TV, obviously not seeing the new roommate or his best friend. I totally ship them now.

Paisley sat on top of Colby, her legs stretched out on the couch, her head was snuggling into Colby. "Sam," I whisper over to him excitedly, he casts me a look. "Look," I point to the couple, snuggled up together.

"I didn't even notice them," Sam admitted, which I guessed. "Should we wake them up?" I looked at them for a little while longer.

"We probably should, someone's bound to prank them in the morning." I pause. "Let me take a picture of them." I grab my phone and clicked onto Snapchat, making sure I had the flash on as it was kind of dark. I took the photo, they looked super cute. "Okay, now let's wake them up."

"I know for a fact Colby is a deep sleeper, but it Paisley?" Sam asked somewhat worriedly, staring at his best friend. "Let me text Aaron." He brought out his phone and texted his roommate. In the span of two minutes, he got a reply. "As far as I know, yes she is."

"Perfect," I mutter. "They've already got something in common. Just, nudge them awake."

"Why do I have to?" Sam asked, slightly offended.

I scowled at him for his childish behavior. "Because Colby's your best friend." I fire back. Sam groans softly and I watched my boyfriend walking over to them, he nudged his best friend, trying to wake him up. Nothing.

"Should I try to wake up Paisley?" Sam asked, casting me a look.

"No, never wake up a girls' slumber," I tell him, thinking of how cranking she'll be. Girls love their sleep more than anything. He nodded, taking my advice and continued to nudge Colby.

I ran a hand through my hair. "Colby," Sam whispered quickly in his ear. "Colby, wake up." He got somewhat of a response from that, Colby just shuffled, so, he's half-awake. "Colby, Paisley's in trouble."

That made Colby open his eyes soon enough, making me chuckle. He noticed that he was still on his lap, and he groaned, leaning back. "Dude, not cool, you almost made me have a heart attack."

COLBY'S POV

Annoyed that Sam woke me up, I cast Kat a look, she was grinning like a madman. At least Paisley's okay. "Bro, what do you want?" I grumble, glaring at Sam. "Is it that important that you had to wake me up from my sleep?"

"I thought you said it was girls didn't like being woken up from their slumber," Sam smirked at Kat who rolled her eyes in return.

"Usually," she bites back, before smiling.

I let out a deep sigh before looking down at Paisley. "Dude, did you want to get prank tomorrow morning?" Sam ignored Katrina's comment.

"I forgot." I simply said I should've known that if we slept down here, we would have been most likely would have woken up by someone harshly or been prank. Wait, same thing. But Paisley doesn't know that. "Thanks, man."

"No problem." Sam then looked at Paisley, then at me. "Getting cozy with her?"

I rolled my eyes. "We're just friends," I tell him, I frown. "I think."

Katrina then coughed out; "friends with benefits." I cast her a weird look, she pretended she didn't say anything and looked away.

"Look, if no one's going to make friends with Paisley, then I will," I state, frowning again. I really hope she gets along with the Jake, Sam, Devyn, and Kat. She's already got a personal connection with Corey, and well, Aaron's her brother.

"Colby, we're going to become friends," Sam tells me, smiling softly. "She's only been here for what? One day, and you took that day up with her."

"Worth it." I mutter, looking down at the blonde princess, I already feel attached to her. I'm not letting her go. "I'll take her to bed now," I quietly said, making sure I don't wake up Paisley.

"Alright, man, be careful." Sam smiled at me, before leaving with Katrina upstairs. Sighing deeply, I supported her legs and curled my arm around her back, supporting her back. I stood up, carrying her bridal style expect she was asleep.

She looked like a sleeping baby, so innocent, though she already was when she was wide awake. She looked like she couldn't hurt a fly with her baby face that was curled up in my chest. She smelt like vanilla and strawberries. I'll admit it, Paisley very, very pretty. Beautiful even. I'm guessing she's one of those people that you can't say no to, or you can't be mad at them for too long because you feel bad.

I walked upstairs, making sure I was careful and that I didn't wake her. I walked towards my area, knowing she was right next door to me. Paisley is a very heavy sleeper, I've been told that I am one heavy sleeper, too. I skillfully opened the door to her pretty much empty room and took her over to her bed. I just stood in her room, looking down at her and not wanting to let go of her. She looked way too innocent for a 22-year-old.

Damn, she's a year older than me and she looks like she 16. Scratch that, she looks like she 14. I finally take her over to her bed and I somehow managed to pull the covers off of one corner, and tucked her in, gently placing her on the ground and putting the blanket back over here and she had moved around a little, before peacefully falling back into a deep sleep. I smiled at that. I bend over and kissed her head as a good night, before turning around to my own room and switching off her lights, closing her door.
