"I can't wait for my brother to see you again!" Victoria exclaimed as the both of you were on your way to the Yas Marina circuit.

"Come on, you know I didn't came for that!" It took a lot to convince you to go to Abu Dhabi for the last race of the season. Victoria said it would be the perfect time for a girls' weekend in a beautiful place. You agreed it would be a nice way to relax before your exams and, finally, agreed to accompany her.

Max and you had exchanged a couple of texts since you met a month ago. It was mostly small talks, starting with him thanking you for the night you two had spent together. He didn't know you were coming to the race, though, since neither you nor Victoria told him. You personally thought he didn't need to know, because you weren't coming for him. Victoria, on the other hand, couldn't wait to surprise her brother who had been talking about you non-stop for a month.

"You can't say it's not a great bonus, though." You didn't answer, only put your sunglasses on as you stepped out of the taxi to face the bright sun shining on Abu Dhabi.

On your way to Red Bull's garage, Victoria introduced you to some people she knew. A few girlfriends of pilots, some journalists and team members. Even some fans in the paddocks intercepted you, having recognized the sister of the famous Dutch driver. Victoria had arranged everything with Max's press officer, for you to have a paddock pass without him knowing about it. To say she was invested in your non-existent relationship with her brother was an understatement!

"Maxie!" Victoria ran into her brother's arms as soon as she spotted him in the garage, talking to his engineer. FP1 would start soon. He had his suit on, but only zipped halfway, and you couldn't help but stare at his defined torso visible under the white fireproof shirt.

"Hello sister! How was the trip?" Max asked. Indeed, you only arrived earlier that day in EAU, after a morning plane trip.

"Good! I had some company. Actually, I brought you a surprise." Victoria moved on the right so Max could see behind her. There you were, a few feet away, standing awkwardly in his garage. He had to shake his head to make sure you were really there and his mind was not playing with him. You were even more gorgeous that he remembered, in your jean shorts and navy blue shirt. Nothing over the top, just a casual 20 year old woman coming to see a race.

Hesitantly, he came closer to you. Some team members were staring curiously at you, having never seen you before, but most of them were too busy with work to even pay attention to you. Max, on the other hand, couldn't tear his eyes away.

"Y/N." He said, as if to make sure he wasn't imagining you.

"Max." You answered, a bright smile covering your face. Max naturally wrapped his arms around your body to hug you close, sighing in content as he caught your sent.

"I'm really glad to see you. Last time, you ran away before I could invite you to dinner." He reminded you how you left his family house without waking him up after a long night of intense love making.

"No strings attached, remember?" You spotted his eyes glancing to your lips as they moved with your words, which made you blush slightly.

"Only idiots don't change their mind, right?" He smiled cheekily, leaning very close to your face.

"Come on loverboy, time to get in the car!" His lead engineer exclaimed from the other side of the room, a smirk on his face. His statement made more heads turn into your direction, making you blushed even more.

"We'll talk about this later, Y/N. I'm not letting go of you." Max said, more quietly this time to make sure no one heard him except you. He leaned in to kiss the side of your mouth before pulling his suit up as well as his helmet and, soon, he was strapped into his car.

From the corner of your eyes, you spotted Victoria smiling victoriously, with an 'I told you so' face. You shook your head, chuckling, and made your way to her to watch the first practice session.

You were impressed by the speed and the noise of the cars. You also couldn't help but feel anxious to see Max on the track, worried something might happen to him. He came back to his garage a few times during the session, every time staying in his car to look at some data and be ready to go on the circuit again.

When he came out of the car after the session ended, he pulled his helmet and balaclava off. Ruffling his sweaty hair (which reminded you of the night you spent together and you slipping your fingers through his sweaty hair as he was reaching his high...), he came to you first before even talking to his team.

"I heard about a beautiful mosque we can visit. I'm taking you there tonight. And then we'll have dinner together. How does that sound?" He leaned against the counter you were sat behind, an arrogant smirk on his face. You chuckled at how blunt and confident he sounded, not caring that his sister and some team members were next to you and could hear his every words.

"The Sheikh Zayed Mosque, huh? I heard it's very romantic. You sure you're ready for that?"

"I was born ready, babe." With a wink, he left to find his engineer, leaving you swooning on your seat, feeling suddenly very hot despite the air conditioning.

"Damn, the sexual tension is huuuge!" Victoria exclaimed in a laugh, obviously making fun of you.

"Shut up." You said, an excited smile on your lips as you thought about your upcoming date. Yup, you were going on a date with Max Verstappen, and you couldn't wait.

At the end of the day, Max took you to the beautiful white mosque of Abu Dhabi

At the end of the day, Max took you to the beautiful white mosque of Abu Dhabi. Your hair was wrapped in a light pink scarf to follow the tradition. For the whole visit, Max kept your hand locked in his. It felt so natural that you didn't pull it away.

After leaving the mosque, he took the scarf off of your head and put a strand of hair behind your ear. You were standing next to his car, ready to have dinner in a restaurant where he booked a table for two.

"How did I handle romantic?"

"Very well." You nodded. Indeed, Max had been perfect and you couldn't wait to continue the evening in the restaurant to spend more time with him.

"I think it suits us. This." He showed your hands that were still linked to each other and he started intertwining your fingers. Your breath got stuck in your throat, his touch triggering a fire burning in your stomach. "We should do it more often. Everyday."

"You mean... Like a couple?" You asked a bit surprised.

"If you want to label it, yeah, I guess that's what it's called. All I know is that I want to spend a lot of time with you, on romantic dates, and in bed." He smiled cheekily. "And I intend to fall in love with you, Y/N Y/L/N." His eyes were looking right through yours. You shivered at the intensity of his stare. This man was acting on your body like no one else had ever before.

"I can't believe I'm going to say this, but I think I'm ready to let myself fall in love with you, Max Verstappen." You were sure your eyes were glistening because of the tears in them.

"Good. I shall kiss you, now, girlfriend."

"Please, do!" You exclaimed in excitement, nodding your head and chuckling. Max couldn't help but laugh before his lips crashed upon yours and, just like that, butterflies erupted from your stomach, surrounding the both of you in a beautiful bubble of love, under the stars of Abu Dhabi.
