Camila's POV

My body froze and a chill seized me. Lauren shook her head and left unhinged, leaving me in the same way in the middle aisle.

My heart struck and it beat disorderly.
I know what she was going to say.
And I wanted to hear it so much, I really wanted it. My eyes shone and the lack of my smile was almost uncontrollable.

But I endured, it would be strange if they found me laughing alone. Clara would think that I went crazy after the kidnapping and she would send me back home. Or the psychiatrist... My body needed something to relieve tension and my mind desperately asked for a good thought. And I got it.

I got ready to sleep, I covered myself up to the head, practically, I turned towards the wall and closed my eyes. About fifteen minutes later a strange noise scared me. When I felt Lauren's strong and unmistakable perfume I thought I was having a dream.

But I noticed that she just spied and went back to her room. She did that every fifteen minutes that passed. I tried to stay awake to see how long I would do it. But sleep overcame me and I ended up falling asleep.

Lauren's POV

In all my life I never did anything so stupid as to allow Camila to sleep away from me that night. Honestly, I was already hurting the worry. Every natural crunch that the floor gave me worried me.

Every fifteen minutes counted on the clock, I would get up and go to see her, afraid they would hurt her. An imbecile fear, I know, no one will enter here, but even so I couldn't be calm if I was not going to keep an eye on her. Around four o'clock in the morning they discovered me.

"Get yourself a fucking mattress and bring it in, but stop opening and closing the door" she grunted, back to the wall. I made a gesture behind her and ignored her

"Taylor..." I called. Nothing. "Taylor..." called again, moving her shoulder.

"What is it motherfucker?" she murmured, without opening her eyes.

"Do you think she is okay?" I asked

"Of course she is, Lauren" she answered, in a hoarse voice. "My God, why didn't you find a more inopportune hour to decide to worry about something?" she turned around, opening her eyes. "It's early in the morning, sleep is becoming impossible with you going in and out."

"I can't sleep." I said and sighed.

"Drink milk, count sheep, jump on one foot... but stop coming." she said

"I'm afraid that she will be hurt."
I said and looked at Camila, who was sleeping lovingly. The opposite of my sister, obviously.

"Why didn't you think about that before scolding her for fucking graffiti? If I remember correctly, that was the beginning of all this" she said at once and then she calmed down.

"It's okay, listen, we all has a difficult day, we're scared and we're worried"she began saying "but now everything is under control, no one will allow Keaton to touch her, is that okay?" she said and looked at me "now go sleep a little."

I ended up giving up.
But that meant almost nothing.
I just couldn't sleep until I took a pillow, put it outside of Camila's room and stayed there, until I fell asleep.

Camila's POV

The next morning I woke up before Taylor, miraculously, in the dark I tried to find my clothes to go to the bathroom. I left the room on tiptoe so as not to wake her when...

I stumbled on something.

I looked at the floor to see what it had been and that's when I saw Lauren sleeping all tender at the door. A small smile escaped my lips as I shook my head, not really believing what she did. I reached down and touched her shoulder, lightly.

"Hey guard, what do you think about going to bed?" I asked in a low voice.

She muttered something I didn't understand and opened her eyes, sleepy.

"Good morning" she said, her voice heavy with sleep.

"Good morning" I said and smiled
"go lay down in your room."

"No, I .." she said and rubbed her eyes
"I was going to wake up" and at that moment I caught her lie

"No, of course you weren't going to" I affirmed "your mom must already be awake, you don't have to stay with me."

I said sincerely "Go to rest, you must have spent a terrible night."

"But I don't want to leave you alone" she said and closed her eyes for a moment.

"I told you I'll be with your mom all the time.Go to sleep, my love." I said

In the next second I realized what I had just said. And Lauren seems to have noticed it too, because at the time she opened her eyes very well and faced me. My cheeks reddened, while her gaze burned my face even more.
