Lauren's POV
It's amazing how since she arrived she has been trying to put everything in order, solve all our problems, when it should be the opposite, we would have to welcome her and take care of her.
“You didn't have much luck when deciding to make this exchange” I said suddenly, she saw me confused “you chose the most troubled family in Miami.”
“Well I don't agree” her expression was soft “I learned more with you here than in all my years of life...”
“You learned?” I asked and raised an eyebrow
“I was that kind of girl who always has the protection of her parents in everything she did...” she began saying “I took a step and there they were, to guide me” I looked at her, curious.
“When I arrived here I felt lost and for a moment I thought that I would not be able to alone” she said and sighed “but from that moment I started to get attached to you” she smiled.
“Your parents welcomed me as a daughter, your brother helped me to continue being a girl. Taylor became my best friend” she said and looked me in the eyes “and you” she sighed, while smiling. I bit my lips, nervous “you taught me to be strong.”
“How?” I asked, without believing
“Lauren, you are very strong” she said and touched my hand “more than you think” her brown eyes looking at me
“you are independent, free..” she said and shrugged her shoulders “you take advantage of life” then she completed “when you aren't doing some shit, of course” I smiled sideways “I realized that I lost a lot of time locked in my world” and then she concluded “I learned to own my own life and that is worth a lot.”
Camila's POV
I could make a list of all the things that I have learned all this time during the exchange and mainly what I learned with her.
You know, for example about Lauren,
for the first time I had a love, and a real love, someone who can make my heart beat very hard, wobble my legs and make my hands sweat.
But do you know what the problem is?
That she can be idiot and adorable, in the same time and I don't know if it's okay to love her or not.
And there is one more thing that I learned, you can't chose who you love, it's something you feel and your mouth is just silent, let's say it that way.
Someone snapped his fingers in front of my face and I left my trance.
“Hmm?” I looked at her, blinking several times in a row.
“Are you travelling?” she asked and raised her eyebrow.
“No, I always do that when the subject bores me...” I joked with her, who made a poker face
“I'm joking Lauren, hahaha now is the time where you laugh” I explained
“Oh my God woman, a little humor falls well sometimes...”
“I'm the funniest person in the world”
she defended herself “do you know the new joke of I don't know?”
“I don't, what the hell is this a new joke!?” I asked
“I don't know” she answered, leaving me with the same poker face of her a few seconds ago “now is the moment when you laugh” she said
Some time after Lauren's super joke rang the bell, when I opened the door I ran into Harry and my friends from the course.
“Girl, that we lost we gave ourselves to be able to find your house.” Simone commented, giving me a kiss.
“Harry is so useless and he got lost.”
“Look, it's not my fault if the ladies haven't been chatting all the time” Harris defended himself “I wouldn't get confused.”
“Always lost” Carolina said and she pushed him lightly on the shoulder, then she kissed me on the cheek “we came to rehearse” she said, smiling, “at your house, because since we never received a formal invitation, we had to come on our own.”
“Okay, come on in” I said and smiled, closing the door when everyone came in. “She's Lauren” said and pointed with my hand to where she was
“When you said she was pretty, you weren't kidding” Simone said and Carolina nudged her.
“Unnecessary comment” she said and tried to help me I smiled
“Hello!” she got up and came to say hello.
“Where can we rehearse?” Harry asked, looking to all sides.
“In the garden” I was walking to the it
“Hey, call your sister” Carolina said “we need an opinion.”
“Okay” I said and smiled. “Lauren, come with us!” she nodded a little confused, but ended up coming “Ok, where do we start?”
“Hm...” Carolina said and glanced at the booklet “From here, Harry and I have to rehearse this sweet part” she indicated the part, I nodded.
I sat next to Lauren to see.
“With time you will end up clinging to them” I said and smiled “they are a little crazy, but they are good people”
“You can be sure that your friends are more normal than mine...” she said obviously referred to the people of that club.
