"The reason why I am hesitant is because I may just agree with you." Stacy had opened up a big switch in my body because my heart popped out of my chest just about.
"You- believe me?" I wiped my tears with my hand, trying to get rid of the mess that had shown on my face.
Her head nodded as in yes, slowly. Her face showed guilt and sorrow.
"I thought she acted a little different after the accident but, I tried ignoring the only thing that was rolling through my mind." She spoke so softly. Her voice sounded fragile.
"Chris didn't believe me though." I felt as if my heart was gone. No tears this time, just a stare.
The stare I give to the floor at my weakest moments. When I feel like I can't let out my emotions even though they are crawling inside to be free again.
"Honey, no matter what.." She sat back down next to me wrapping her arm on my back.
"No matter what, I am always here to listen." She smiled at me, gently.
"I know, thank you." I smiled back, politely.
