No Luck

Toni's POV
I've been trying to get pregnant for months now with no luck. It sucks, Lexi is almost one so they would be almost two years apart which would be great.
"How are you this morning babe?" Cher asks as I come downstairs
"Good I guess," I sigh "another negative,"
"Babe, when it happens it'll happen," she says hugging me "I promise,"
"I know C,"
"Mama!" Alexis says from her chair
"Hey baby," I say kissing her temple
She's gotten so much bigger and she started walking which is... fun.
I pick her up and bounce her.
"Mama, pwease?" She says
"Please what sweetie?" I ask
She starts getting fussy.
"Please food I'm guessing," Cheryl says putting her food on the high chair
I put her in the high chair and she starts eating.
"What if I can't get pregnant?" I ask
"Then we can adopt, or I can get pregnant again," she says kissing my cheek "we have options baby,"
I nod and she rubs my shoulder.
The boys all pile in.
"Good morning everyone," Cheryl laughs "let yourselves in,"
"Thanks Blossom,"
"Reg-gee," Alexis says reaching for Reggie
"Hey cutie, you eating breakfast?" He asks
"Ga!" She says hitting the high chair
"Can't be a football player without eating your shit kiddo," RJ says
"RJ don't swear dumbass,"
"Toni!" Cheryl snaps
"What I didn't swear at her,"
"No swearing, and she's not playing football,"
Varied boos from around the room ring out as Cheryl pick her up.
"You're going to be a cheerleader like mommy, right? Ya, you're going to cheer," Cher says tickling her stomach
"Cheerleaders suck," RJ and Reggie say
"Your fiancé and your girlfriend were cheerleaders,"
"Not when I met her,"
"Your ex girlfriend was a cheerleader," Cheryl says
"My ex girlfriend is Toni," he says
"I was talking about Veronica," she teases
"Don't say her name babe, she'll come back," I say
Reggie laughs.
"That's your ex girlfriend Cheryl," he says
"You fucked her last,"
"I mean true," he sighs
"Is she hot at least?" RJ asks
"Very," Reggie, Cheryl and I say at the same time
"But she's criminally insane and hit me with a car," Cher says
"Ya that's the least of your worries with her," Reggie says

Liv and Liz show up and Liz takes Alex.
We go out back and talk for a while.
"Oh ya, Cheryl I forgot to tell you," Liv says in her "gossip voice"
"Oh my god, what happened?"
"Guess who I saw?"
"Oh my god it Katy in Riverdale?"
Katy- girl on Cher's cheer team in Stanford, really good friend for Cher and Liv
"I wish, I saw Veronica Lodge at Pops Diner,"
"See Cheryl, you said her name and the wicked witch of the North came back," I say
"Shut up Toni," she says
"Who's Veronica Lodge?" Liz asks
"My ex girlfriend," Reggie and Cheryl say in unison
"Both Of you ex girlfriends?" Liz asks "Reg I thought your last girlfriend was Toni,"
"You really gotta stop telling people that Reginald,"
"But it makes me seem cooler, everyone slept with Veronica," he says
"Stop saying you dated my wife," Cher says
"Who is she though?"
"Really hot, rich girl from New York," I say "I hate her,"
"Is Toni jealous?" Will teases
"Toni's girlfriend got hit by a car and couldn't talk for a month," I say
"I mean none of us complained about the no talking and you were friends with her,"
"Meanie," Cheryl says
"It's way to hot out here," I say changing the subject
We decide to go inside and watch highlights and the girl girls go and drink tea or something.
I hear a knock at the door and get up.
"You think.." Cher asks me
"Probably," I sigh
She hands me Alex and we walk to open the door
"Ladies,"
"Veronica Lodge," we both say in unison
"Haven't seen you two in almost a decade now,"
"It's been 11 years," Cher says "never thought I'd see you again. You still batshit crazy?"
"Harsh babe," she winks
"Watch it," I hiss
"Or what?"
"Or I'll.." I start before Lexi grabs my hair "I'll ask you to leave,"
"How would you even manage that? Another old friend came with me," she smirks as Jughead walks up our lawn
"Reginald," Cheryl yells
"I think you'll find we have a lot of new friends that won't let you mess with us," I smirk

"Better than ever. How's the drug dealing business?"

"Hey it's our best friends," Reggie says standing beside me
"Reggie Mantle, I'm single again if you want.."
"He's not single," Elizabeth says putting her arm around his back "he's with me,"
He puts his arm around her shoulders and kisses her head
"Sorry Ronnie, I upgraded,"
"Yet you still use my nickname," She counters "good luck with that whore, offer always stands,"
Reggie goes to say something and stops
"Reg-gee," Lex says trying to get out of my arms
"Toni why don't Liv, Cheryl, and I take Lexi for nap time,"
"Awesome idea," I say handing her off "Thank you,"
"Tones.." Cher starts
"I'll be in soon babes," I say "promise,"
She nods and leaves.
"Veronica just leave please," I say "I'm done with childish threats and this banter, leave us alone,"
"I just wanted to say hi,"
"And I just wanna say goodbye," I say "please? Leave us alone,"
"Who was that cutie?"
"My wife? Her name's Cheryl, we've be married almost 10 years,"
"The baby,"
"Her name is CHERYL," I say slowly "I know she's needy but don't call her a baby,"
"The child that you gave to the girl I went to school with,"
"Oh you mean Lexi!" I say looking at reggie
"She meant the actual baby," Reggie jokes trying to act dumbfounded
"Yes I meant the actual baby," she says "who's is she?"
"Mine and Cher's actually," I say "she's very smart,"
"I wouldn't think any less of a Blossom,"
"She's a Topaz, actually," I say matter-Of-factually "Cher took my name,"
"Weird, Blossoms usually get what they want and whenever we talked about it- she wanted to keep her own name,"
"That's cause yours is slimy," I laugh "goodbye Veronica,"
I close the door and roll my eyes.
"Those two suck," I say
We go back into the kitchen with everyone else.
"Are you okay babe?" Cher asks
"Oh fine Cheryl," I say
"You look sick,"
"I haven't been feeling well today," I say "I'm fine love,"
She shrugs and we all talk for a while.
"Topaz we good for tonight?" Reggie asks as I go into the backyard to start the bbq
"Ya ya, Cher doesn't even know," I say "I've already planted everything about the fire into her head,"
We do a handshake and he helps me bbq for everyone
"You excited bro?" I ask
"Very, I can't wait," he says "how's baby watch?"
I've only told reggie about it
"Still negative,"
"Shit Topaz, that sucks I'm sorry,"
"Uh it's fine," I sigh "it'll work out. Still haven't told anyone else,"
"Your secrets safe with me," he says
"Thanks bro,"
We finish and everyone eats
"Cher and I were wondering if y'all wanted to stay for a fire," I say
"Y'all? Have you been hanging out with Mox too much?" Will teases
I roll my eyes and everyone but Elizabeth agrees.
"I'm tired reggie, I might go home," she sighs "have fun though babe,"
"Liz, stay and have fun- you guys can stay here if you're too tired to drive after," Cher says
My girl is the best
"Fine, I guess I'll stay,"
Reggie kisses her and she laughs
"You're happy today," she says
"Reg-gee!" Lexi says
"How can you not be happy around this munchkin?" He asks picking Lex up
"Wanna put the munchkin down for her nap for me?" Cher asks
"Sure Blossom," he says
They walk away and I say a silent plan that Cher can convince people of anything.
"Babe wanna grab to wood with me?" She asks
"You mean, me grab the wood and you watch?"
"Yes," she says
I grab the wood and she stops me.
"Remember when we said no secrets," she asks kissing me
"Mhm,"
"Well why do you and reggie want Lizzy to be here for the fire,"
"We didn't care," I say
"Mhm I'm sure," she says "you both were annoyed,"
"Because he loves her and she's my friend," I say
"What's going on Toni?"
"You'll find out soon love,"
I start the fire and when it gets dark everyone comes out
We sit and drink for a bit before reggie looks at me and I nod.
"Ahem," he says "everyone I need your attention,"
Everyone goes quiet, and he takes a deep breath.
"Liz, I love you and before I met you I never thought I'd love anyone this much. We've been together so long, that I can't believe I hadn't thought of this until a few months ago. Every time I'm with you, I'm happy, and I'm the best version of myself. Elizabeth Capulet, will you marry me?"
She nods and hugs him.
They celebrate and Cheryl kisses my cheek
"This is why?"
"Mhm," i say looking at the happy couple "he's been planning this for a while,"
She kisses me and reggie high fives me
"Thanks Topaz,"
"No problem Mantle," I laugh "Congratulations,"
"Thank you," he says "I'm excited,"
"It'll be the best day of your life bro,"
