Cheryl's POV
I wake up in Toni's arms and smile
I don't know how I'll do this without her
Everything
She's been half of me for a decade now.
"You look deep in thought for this early in the morning," she hums kissing me
"I'm just thinking,"
"I told you to stop," she giggles
"I know I'm sorry,"
"Don't Be Baby, I just don't want you to stress yourself or the baby out,"
"Do you wish we weren't having this baby?" I ask
"Oh my god no, I will love this baby Cher, I feel bad for leaving you with 4 kids- but I know you can do it, and I know you'll find someone to help you,"
"Like a nanny? Toni I work from home,"
"I meant more like a partner,"
"That is so morbid," I say rolling my eyes "Tones I'm not dating anyone else,"
"Well you should be happy?"
"Tones I've had my love, I've had my happiness, I'll be happy with the kids," I say cuddling into her "I don't need anything else,"
She kisses me and I smile into it.
"Stop worrying, 16 months is a lot of time- it's enough for a cure- maybe the doctors are wrong?" She says "it's so much time Cher, in high school we thought one of us would die- right? It's a year,"
"I'm going to slide Blossom Med Ind into research and cure production," I say "we have the time and the money,"
"You don't have to,"
"I have to,"
The baby starts kicking and my hands go to my belly
"Kicking?" She asks
I smile and nod and she puts her hand on my belly.
"Little soccer player huh babe?" I ask
"Kicker,"
"I want one of my kids to not play football, you're not even going to coach them so I don't know if they'll be safe,"
"Reggie will coach them,"
"Reggie isn't safe," I laugh
She kisses me and I smile
"You're amazing," I say
Tony starts crying and she moves to get up
"I got him babe," I say swinging my legs
"I got it," she says
"Just put your leg on and come find me love,"
I walk out and go to the kids room.
"Mommy mummy," tony cries as I pick him up
"What's wrong baby?"
"I had bad dream mommy,"
"What happened?"
"Mama left, mama left and you were aways sad and then I was awone with a monsta,"
"Mama's not leaving sweetheart, okay? Not leaving,"
"I scawed,"
"Wanna go see mama? Wanna go see mama sweetie?"
He nods and rubs his eyes
I walk back into my room and Toni stands up
"Hi baby," she says taking him from my arms "what's wrong?"
"I had a bad dream," he mumbles
She presses her lips to his temple and bounces him a little
"Wanna tell me what it was about?" She asks him
He shakes his head and buried his face in her hair
"Same as last time?" she mouthes
I nod and she kisses his forehead.
"Baby we're going to talk Okay?" She says
He nods and she sits in the bed and puts him against the headboard.
"Baby I'm not going away. Not right now anyways. But if I go away, it's not because I want to Okay? I love you and your sister very very much,"
"And mummy?"
"Well she's here too," she jokes
He giggles and she winks at me
"Of course I love mommy too, and if I ever do go away- you aren't going to be alone with the monsters okay? Because Mommy loves you, and Lexi loves you, and Uncle Reggie, and Uncle RJ, and all of your aunties absolutely adore you sweetheart,"
"But mama I want you,"
"I know baby, and I want to stay with you too, but see Mommy over there? Ya she's the best mommy in the world!"
"Oh my gosh weally?"
"Really, and she's so pretty and she's amazing,"
She hugs him and stands up to bounce him
"You're going to be okay baby boy, I promise,"
"Buddy wanna go get your sister and then we can get some breakfast?" I ask
He nods and goes out of the room
"He's going to take it hard," she sighs "my biggest fear is that he won't get over it. He's a sensitive kid and I don't wanna screw him up,"
"He won't get over it T, you're the most important person in his life. But the good news is he will have me and Reggie and RJ and we'll keep him on the right track,"
"I know you will," she laughs
We get ready to go downstairs and I make sure the kids are ready
"Mama give me piggyback?"
"Sure sweetheart," Toni laughs putting Tony on her shoulders
We sit down for breakfast and Toni tries to readjust her leg.
"What's wrong TT?"
"It doesn't fit?"
"What?"
"There and there its way too loose and the sensors aren't picking up my leg flexes,"
"May I look?"
She nods
"Reginald can you help my kids please?"
"Of course Blossom,"
They leave and I check Toni's leg
"Tones you have to stop wearing this love, the wires are all frayed and it's going to overheat,"
"But I don't have anything else," she says
"Well this leg might blow up, we don't want that," I say "let me go grab crutches or a wheelchair from somewhere,"
"Okay Babe,"
I walk outside and find a pharmacy that sells crutches
"Someone break a leg?" The guy asks while scanning the stuff
"My wife lost her leg in Afghanistan and her prosthetic is broken,"
"I'm so sorry,"
"She's alright," I sigh nodding
"Wait you're Cheryl Topaz right?"
"I am,"
"You are such a big inspiration to my little sister,"
"Awe that means so much to me, tell her I say hi?"
"I will,"
I nod and leave
I walk back to the hotel buffet and see Toni playing with Tony and Lexi.
"Here babe, I made them your size,"
"You're a goddess Cheryl Topaz," She says pecking my lips
"I know,"
She gets up and crutches to the elevator.
The entire team comes off and stop when they see her
"Uh Coach Topaz- wheres you leg,"
"It's been amputated for a while now Ralphy,"
"I meant why is it in Cheryl's hand?"
"It broke," I sigh "I'm afraid Coach Topaz will be on crutches until we get home now," I laugh
"Get ready, bus might get here early," tones says
They nod and we get in the elevator
"I love you baby," she says leaning over and kissing me
"I love you too Tones," I giggle
"Mommy we go watch football?" Lexi asks
"Yes honey we're going to watch Mama coach,"
"Yay! Will Robbie be there?"
"Robbies playing you silly goose,"
She smiles and we get back to the room.
"Hey babes, can you help me please?" Tones asks shyly
"Of course Tones, just let me make sure that Tony Junior is okay?"
She nods and I go get him settled
"Sorry babe, what do you wanna wear?" I ask
"You pick,"
I look through her stuff and just grab her USA Sweater and leggings.
"Cher I. Can't wear this on the bench,"
"Tones you have to be comfortable," she says "mentally it's hard on you not having the leg, I know that,"
She nods and sighs
