"Babe!" Toni yells

"T settle down, I just got Mateo down," I say going into the kitchen

"The lawyer just called... we won 8 million from the hospital lawsuit,"

"Wow.. that's a lot more than we thought,"

"Yeah,"

"Maybe it'll pay for Mateo's legs for a while," I sigh knowing the cost of prosthetics nowadays

"It means this nightmare is over and he also said Quintipacki is in jail until after Lexi graduates,"

"Good," I hum

She kisses me and I smile

"You seem off lately C, are you feeling okay?"

I nod and sigh

"Just so much going on," I hum

We eat lunch and then head Mateo get up.

"We need to get him to his appointment anyways," I say "wait.. shouldn't you be at work?"

"Work sucks and my wife is hot. Plus I wanted to go with my baby boy to get his leg, but you have to drop me off at practice after,"

"I'll watch, Mia and KC wanted to anyways,"

She nods and I go up to get Maté.

"Hey Matty," I smile picking him up "did you have a good nap?"

"We are going to get you a leg, so you can walk and run and play football with Mama,"

"How recent was the amputation? Was he born with it?"
