Cheryl's POV
I get my wires off tomorrow and I'm so fucking excited
I wake up to my door creaking open.
"Mia don't go in there!" Lexi whispers "Mommy's sleeping,"
I look over the edge of the bed and Mia is giggling and looking up at me.
I lift her up and kiss her cheek.
"Lexi Mommy awake!" Mia giggles
Lexi comes in and jumps on me and I smile
"Good morning mommy," she says
I kiss her cheek and she giggles
"Uncle Reggie said you get your wires off tomorrow," Lexi says
I nod and play with her hair
"Does still hut?" Mia asks
I shrug and shake my head
She kisses my cheek and giggles
"Awe Betta!" She laughs
I smile and we change and go downstairs
"Morning Cher," Reggie says
I grab a pad and paper and scribble something
Go see your wife idiot
"We are all going to see my wife C, we are going out for breakfast,"
I can have milkshakes through a special straw so I don't mind going to pops
Lexi and Mia are ready
"TJ is playing outside with Robbie,"
I nod and go out back
Tony is running with the football and "spins off" Robbie
"TOUCHDOWN!!" He laughs
He's so much like Toni, it's funny.
"Hi mommy!" He says
I wave and Robbie looks up
"He's a football player Mom," Robbie laughs
TJ runs up the stairs and hugs me
"Mommy, I'm going to be just like Mama in high school,"
I nod and ruffle his hair.
"Boys get in the car, we're going out for breakfast," Reggie says
I pick Tony up and we all walk out front.
"Mommy you sit back here with me?" Tony asks
I nod and put him down
Robbie goes in the back and I point at the front
"You aren't going in the front?" He asks
I shake my head and sit beside Tony.
I buckle Tony and Mia in, while Reggie buckles Lexi.
Tony talks to me and tells me about random stuff
He looks so much more like Tony everyday.
Lexi doesn't obviously but she has some of Toni's traits and like attitude
Mia's still so small, but she has Toni's sense of humour and laugh for sure, her skin tone is the same as Toni's too
We get to pops and go inside.
Lizzy, RJ, Liv, and Veronica are already there so we sit with them
"Aunt Veronica, is Bella coming?" Lexi asks
"In a bit, she had a doctors appointment,"
Lexi nods and sits with her siblings.
After a while I notice a familiar car in the parking lot
But like not familiar
Like it's attached to a memory
"Cher do you trust me?"
"Of course,"
"Then we have to turn around now,"
Toni was scared of this car
When we went out for dinner before nationals
Before she was kidnapped
That's Dougies dad's car
Reggie. Get all the kids in the bathroom please
"Cher what's wrong?"
Reggie now please
He nods and gets everyone including the adults to the bathroom

I give him a dirty look and he nods

He goes into the bathroom just as Dougies dad walks in
"Blossom Blossom Blossom," he taunts
I gulp and nod
"You can't talk?" He laughs
I shake my head and point at my jaw
"Good more taking for me. My boy is dead because of you, my other boy is dead because of your wife. I will kill you, Cheryl. You will die in your wife's arms and when she asks why, the answer will be it's all her fault,"
This idiot thinks Toni's alive
I smirk and nod
"Wipe that smirk off your fucking face before I make you," he threatens
He raises his fist to punch me in the face and I brace a little bit
"Please don't hit my mommy," I hear from behind me
I turn and see TJ hiding at one of the booths "she hurt her mouth but it's getting lot better,"
"And what's your name?"
"Tony Reginald, but mommy calls me Tony Junior,"
"After your mom right? Is Toni your mother?"
He nods and looks at me.
"Mommy how does he know mama,"
"Your mother was a bitch and a whore. She doesn't deserve any happiness in her life,"
I pick TJ up and he looks at him angrily
"Mama was not!" He hisses "mama was nice and funny, and she loved all us,"
"Your mother is a bad lady," He says "she cheated on my boy,"
"Mommy I dunno tha means,"
I move his hair out of his eyes and kiss his forehead
He goes to hit me and I shield TJ from it and get hit in the back of the head.
"Oh my gosh Mommy," TJ whispers
I point at the bathroom and he nods.
He runs towards the bathroom and I turn back around
He goes to hit me and I put one finger up.
I write on my phone and show it to him
My wife is dead
Please don't tarnish her reputation with your fake stories about Dougie and her.
TJ is going through enough right now
"Toni is dead?" He chuckles
I nod and wipe a tear
"Is he your only kid?"
I shake my head and hold up four fingers
They need to heal, please. If you are still going to do anything- leave them out of it.
"So your single?"
I'm not going through this

I nod and go to the bathroom.

"What is going on Cheryl?" Reggie asks

She comes out with me and grabs my hand

"I'm her wife's ex's father,"
She looks at me and gets scared
"You're Dougies dad?" She asks
He smirks and nods
"When did her wife die?" He asks
"Almost three months ago,"
"And she's already banging someone else, like the whore she is,"
I wipe a tear and nod
"Watch your back blossom,"
He leaves and drives away and I go to leave the restaurant
"Where are you going?"
To see Toni
She lets me go and I walk to the cemetery
I stop for flowers first and then keep walking
I find her head stone and graze it with my fingers
I clean it up a little from fallen leaves and the dying flowers, replace them with the new ones and then just kneel and look at it.
I wish I could talk so she could hear me.
I feel a tap on my back and turn my head
Coach is standing there and holding his hand out
I stand up and shake his hand
"How are you doing Cheryl?"
I show my wires and he sighs
"I'm sorry," he says
I give him a small smile and look back at the gravestone
"I miss having her around, she was always positive," he says "there's a lot of negativity right now,"
I nod
I feel two little hand on the back of my legs and I turn around
"Mommy!" Mia giggles
I pick her up and kiss her cheek
"Hi Mamas coach,"
He looks at me confused and I sigh
"That's mama ight?" She asks
I nod and she puts her head against my cheek
"I miss Mama,"
Lexi and Tony come over and Tony grabs my free hand
"Did you come to say hi?" He asks
I nod and give him a small smile.
Reggie comes over and picks Lexi up
"Cher, Ill take the kids, you let me know when you're ready okay?" He says
I'm good I text I'll come back when I can talk to her properly
He nods and we head home
I need to protect my family
