Lexis POV

We flew to Hawaii today. My knee is okay, not great but I'll be able to play on it for sure.

"Can you take Mateo?" Cheryl asks

"Of course I can," I say picking him up "hey buddy,"

"Lexi!" He giggles "we pay football,"

"Ya we do, first we need to find our bags though,"

"Ya!"

"Ya okay,"

We go to the luggage area and I grab mateos bag and struggle to grab mine with him in my hand.

Someone grabs it and puts it beside me.

It's Hudson.

"Thanks,"

"Don't mention it," he nods

I grab the bags and we get on the bus.

And I get on the wrong bus.

"Topaz. Wrong bus?" The basketball coach asks

"Yeah, and the football bus already left. Do you mind?"

"Of course not, take a seat,"

"Thank you,"

"Topaz you good?" Jhorry asks

"Football bus left," I sigh "cause I couldn't grab my luggage with Maté,"

"Your moms left you?" He asks

"Unclear if they know that," I laugh

I sit down and they start the bus ride until Mateo starts crying.

I stand up and bounce him and he won't calm down.

"Sorry guys, he doesn't like to be away from my moms,"

"Don't worry about it Lexi,"

He still won't calm down and I don't know what to do.

"Wexi?" He says through his sobs

"Yes Mateo?" I ask

"Hudon?" He asks pointing

"That is Hudson but he's with his friends," I say kissing her cheek

"Oh,"

"Yeah,"

"He neva come ova,"

"No he doesn't,"

He keeps crying and I sigh.

"Buddy it's okay,"

"I WANT MAMA!"

I get my phone out and call my mom.

"Lexi why are you calling me from the back of the bus?" Toni asks

"I'm guessing you let Reggie do headcounts because you left without me and your youngest son,"

"Fuck, REGGIE YOU LEFT MY DAUGHTER AT THE AIRPORT,"

"We're turning around," she sighs

"Don't, I'm on the basketball bus but Maté wants you guys,"

"Put me on speaker,"

"Mhm,"

I put her on speaker and they try and talk to Mateo and it doesn't work.

"Tell them to pullover at the next rest stop,"

"Talk to coach," I sigh giving him my phone

I keep bouncing him and he points back at Hudson

"Buddy Hudson's busy," I sigh
