Dinner

Lexis POV

Mom came home from surgery a few hours ago and they seem okay now.

"Hey mom," i say bringing her a water

"Hey sweetheart,"

"How are you feeling?"

"I'm okay Lexi, a couple days in bed is probably good for me anyways,"

I stutter and nod

"You look like you need to ask something,"

"Were you mad at me for kneeling?"

"Of course not Lex," she says with a smile "I was very proud of you for helping your brother, and for doing something you believe in. So was Mama,"

"Thank you,"

"Thank you, for being such a good kid,"

"I was supposed to go out with Hudson tonight, but I can stay.."

"No it's fine, go have fun,"

"Okay,"

I hug her and go downstairs

"Lexi can we hangout tonight?" KC asks "mommy was supposed to take me to the movies,"

"I.. I was supposed to go out with Huds, but I'll cancel," I say

"No it's okay," she sighs "ill see if mama wants to go out,"

"It's okay Kayc, I hang out with Hudson enough,"

"KC! LIZZY WANTS TO KNOW IF WE WANNA GO OUT TO THE MOVIES," Mia yells

"See? I'll just go with lizzy,"

"Another night okay?"

"Okay,"

I get ready to go out and Hudson texts that he's here.

"Bye moms,"

"Bye honey, have fun,"

I go downstairs and Hudson smiles

"Babe, TJ was telling me about your mom. We could've cancelled,"

"It's okay, I wanna go out,"

"Okay,"

We go to a small restaurant in the city about an hour away.

"This place is amazing Huds,"

"I love you,"

"I love you too,"

We order and talk for a while before I notice that guy who's always following me... with my mom?

"Hudson, look over your shoulder is that my mom?"

He looks and turns back around.

"It looks like her, but I don't think it is.." he says

"She looks older," I say "stay here,"

"Babe.."

"It's okay,"

I walk over to them and it's definitely not my mom.

"Hi is there a reason you're staring at me and my boyfriend,"

"You look a lot like my cousin," she says

The man glares at her and I'm confused

"Youre my moms cousin," I say shocked "you dated Rielly Tremblay,"

"I'm dating this guy now," she says

"Leave my family alone please," I say "stop following us,"

"Lexi!" Hudson says

I see our food for there and go back.

"Handle it?" He asks

"Let's hope,"

We see the media surrounding two people.

"I'm surprised they aren't after us," I giggle

"No.. but that's your brother and Charlie,"

"What?"

We both go outside and push through.

Charlie's crying and TJ is overwhelmed.

"Lex?" TJ asks

"Cmon, we have room at our table- they aren't allowed in there,"

They follow us and sit across from where we do.

"I didn't know you guys were coming here," I say

"Mom got us a reservation and Aunt Liz dropped us off and was going to pick us up after the movies,"

"Are you okay Charlie? You look shaken up?"

"I don't like people yelling," she says shyly "I don't do well with it,"

"Me neither," I agree

"Why's mom here?" TJ asks

"Not mom, don't worry about it,"

"Oh,"

I get the waiter and they get Charlie and TJ some food.

"I knew it would get press on me, but I thought it'd be just football press,"

"I know Tony,"

We eat and then go home and fall asleep.

We're at the basketball home opener and they just announced Hudson and Jhorry as captains.

They announce the national anthem and Hudson, Jhorry, Mike,  Nicholas, and 2 others that I don't know take a knee.

"Wha-" TJ says looking at me

"You inspired them Tony,"

"Really?"

I nod and listen to the rest of the anthem.

I hope Tony's okay
