i wake up the next day in my own bed. i yawn and rub my eyes. i get out of my bed and climb down the little ladder.
i move my hair out of my face and walk over to the door. i stand on my tippy toes and open the door. i walk out of the room and close the door back.
i walk up the stairs to go to billie's room.

i walk back down stairs after seeing that billie and finneas are asleep. what should i do now?
i go into the kitchen and walk to the refrigerator. billie normally makes my breakfast, but she's not awake so i have to do it myself.
i open the refrigerator and look inside. everything is too high up. i guess i'll just wait until billie wakes up.
"what should i do?" i say to myself. billie probably won't be up until another hour, so i'll just go into her room.
i go to billie's room and climb onto her bed. i lay in front of her and look at her. she's dead asleep. "mommy." i whisper as i poke her face.
"mommy!" i whisper louder. billie stirs, but then goes back to sleep. i keep poking her face until she wakes up.
"wake up!" i whine as i shake her body back and forth. billie groans and rolls over.
right off the bed.
"ow." billie says as she suddenly wakes up. "mommy!" i say as i jump off the bed and run over to her. "i'm up, i'm up." billie mutters to herself as she sits up.
billie stands up and picks me up. "ah, my side hurts now." billie says as she laughs. billie gets back in the bed and rests me on her chest.
"what are you doing up an hour earlier than you normally wake up?" billie asks, moving stray pieces of hair out of my face.
"i don't know." i say as i grab billie's hand. "paisley, i already know you're about to try to eat my rings, so give me my hand back." billie says as she chuckles.
i huff and let go of billie's hand. "why do you do that?" billie asks. i shrug.
billie sighs. "i should probably get you ready for the day." she says as she looks at me. i just stare at her. "so is that you agreeing or no?" billie jokes.

"alright paisley, let me take a picture because you're looking like you're ready to buy six cars." billie says as she laughs.

"okay, paisley, what do you wanna do today?" billie says as she puts on a beanie. "um..." i trail off as i think. "i want a pet!" i say and smile.
"i don't know about that one, you want a fish or something?" billie says as she fixes her hair. "yes!" i shout. "shh, you're gonna wake up the beast." billie says as she covers my mouth.
"let's go to pet smart." billie says as she picks me up and rests me on her hip.

we walk into pet smart and billie gets a shopping cart and puts me inside.
(you don't know how bad i wanted to type buggy but only us southern people call them that)
billie goes over to the fish section. she picks out a small tank. "ooh, can we get the castle?" i say as i point to the little fish decoration. "sure." billie says as she puts it in the cart.
"what color rocks?" billie asks me, moving hair out of my face. "um, yellow!" i say and smile. she puts them in the cart and we go over to the fish.
"pick two fish." billie says as she gets me out of the cart and puts me on her shoulders so i can see.
i look at the selection of fish. i see two blue ones that i really like. "fishy!" i say and poke the glass.

"you want that one?" billie asks, looking at the fish. "yes, mommy." i say and look through the glass.
billie gets a worker to come get the fish out of the display tank.

we are back home and billie has set up the fish tank and put the fish inside.
"what are their names?" billie asks. "bubbles and rock!" i respond. billie stares at me. "paisley, why would you name that fish rock?" she asks.
"because i can." i say sassily as i turn to look at billie. "bubbles and rock, wow." billie says as she laughs.
"hey guys!" finneas greets, walking into my room. "why is there fish in paisley's room?" he asks, picking me up.
"she wanted a pet and i wasn't trying to say no so i got her some fish." billie responded. "wanna know what their names are?" billie asks as she starts to laugh.
"what?" finneas asks. "bubbles and rock." billie says as she bursts out in laughter. "paisley, what is the meaning of this?" finneas says as he starts to laugh.
"i thought it was a good name." i say and shrug as finneas sets me down. "you're so silly." billie says as she tickles me.
