Lost Child (Fem Nagisa)

Notes:
*Mei, their daughter is 6 years old
*Karma and Nagisa are both 28 years old
*Mei has light, short blue hair and Karma's eye color
*Asano works with Karma

Nagisa POV
Today was just an ordinary day, like everyday.
I was in the front seat along with my mother who was driving. Mei, our daughter, was in the back seat playing with the teddy bear Karma got for her.

Mom was planning on moving to the states soon with her new husband so she wanted to spend every possible moment with us before she left.
Sadly Karma couldn't come today because of a meeting he had to attend

As we were nearing our destination to the park I got a call
"????"
I looked at the number before answering
"Karma, aren't you in a meeting?" I answered with a serious tone
"Hey, how's my wonderful wife doing?" He tried switching the topic
"And how's my wonderful husband doing at his meeting?" I replied
"Dont worry we're on a break, I just wanted to check on you guys"
"We're fine" I answered blankly
"Are you still mad at me?" He asked
"What do you think?"
"Look I'm sorry, but I couldn't miss this meeting"
"I know, but you're always busy and barely spend anytime with us. Not to mention this is the last day mom is going to be in Japan"
"Nagisa"
I turned to look at mom
"it's not his fault" she spoke
I sighed knowing that she was right
"I'm sorry Karma"
"It's fine Nagisa"

It was silent for a few seconds until Karma spoke up
"Have you guys made it to the park yet?" He asked
"We're almost there"
"Make sure to by Mei her ice-cream"
"Geez Karma, you sure love spoiling our daughter"
"How can I not?"
"....."
"There's always next time" he said, probably sensing my disappointment
"I guess....call me when the meetings over"
"Wait!" He yelled
"What?"
"Can you pass me to Mei"
"Sure"
I turned around and smiled at Mei
"Want to talk to papa!"
"Papa!" She screamed in excitement as I handed her my phone
"How's my baby girl doing?"
"I'm having so much fun! Grandma even promised me that I would get to touch a dog at the pet shop!"
"That's great"
"Hehe!" She chuckled
"Can papa ask for a favor?"
"Yep!"
"When you have the chance can you give mama a big hug for me"
"Yep!"
"But keep it a secret ok"
"Ok! Secret!"
"That's my girl"
"Love you papa"
"Love you to"

Mei handed me the phone and I said goodbye to Karma before hanging up.

Once we arrived at our destination we parked our car and began getting out.
As I was helping Mei out of her seat she automatically threw her arms around me
"What's wrong Mei?" I asked, confused by her sudden gesture
"We love you mama!"
"We?"
"Yeah! Me and papa!"
I felt my lips curl up and I hugged her back
"Did papa tell you to do this?"
"Yep!"
"Thanks"

Timeskip

Once the day was almost over we headed inside the car
"You must be tired mom, let me drive"
"It's fine Nagisa, I'll drive"
"No, you need to be well rested if you don't want to miss your flight in the morning."
"Ok" she agreed before sitting next to me in the passenger seat

As I was driving us back home I couldn't help but notice the truck behind me getting rather close
"!!!"
The lights of the truck were getting brighter
I began driving faster that I eventually lost sight of it.
"...."
I sighed in relief after losing it and continued driving.

The drive was rather quiet, both my mom and Mei were fast asleep. The only sound was the soft music from the radio.
