3rd Person POV
It was the beginning of Winter, the season Karma came to hate the most.
He hated it because it was season she left him.
How long would he say?
She had left him when they were both 43, maybe 20 years

He was no longer the young and mischievous teen he was back in the day.
His signature red hair now white, but despite him being 63 he had very few wrinkles
He was not as strong as he used to be, but he was able to manage on his own

As he was sitting on his couch in the living room he heard the front door open
"I'm back!"
His son, Hikaru, entered the house and walked over to the living room where he was at
He was finally able to see his son after 2 months since he was on a business trip.
Not much has changed about him
His light blue hair was pulled back from the right side, barely able to be tucked behind his ear.
As for his eyes, they were the same as his fathers, a beautiful mercury color.
He was tall and slender, wearing a black button up blouse and black dress pants.
His 6 year old daughter, Hana, asleep in his arms
"How are you dad?"
"I've been better"
Hikaru sat beside his father
"How's Ayame?" He asked
"The doctor said she's getting better" his son smiled
"......" Karma remained silent, waiting for his son to really say how he was feeling
"....how did you do it dad?"
"...she'll be fine Hikaru"

.
The two sat in silence until Hikaru spoke again
"I'm terrible dad..."
"What do you mean?"
"I'll never a good parent like you or mom"
"...."
"I'm either at the hospital taking care of Ayame or on a business trip, I rarely spend time with Hana" he said looking at his daughter sleeping peacefully in his arms
Karma chuckled lightly
"Just like me and Nagisa....always moving around"
"But the both of you somehow always made time for me"
"......" Karma remained silent, reminiscing of the old times
When he and Nagisa lived and smiled together, raising their son
"Aren't you lonely living in this big house?"
"I manage, afterall, it's the house we all lived in"
His son smiled in response
"...when I can't take care of her...will you look after her?"
"I wouldn't mind"

......

From that day on whenever Hikaru was too busy he would take Hana to Karma's house.

One night Karma woke up in the middle of the night.
He dreamt of Nagisa and couldn't go back to sleep.
"....."
On the side of his bed was a desk with a book inside.
He got the book out and opened it, revealing many pictures of him and Nagisa.
"......"
A small tear escaped his eye as he traced his finger on one of her pictures.
"Grandpa! Grandpa!" A voice interrupted him
He quickly looked up and there was Hana by the door
"Why are you still awake?" He asked wiping his tear away
"I couldn't sleep"
A smile appeared on his face and he pat his bed, allowing her to hop on.

Once she made herself comfortable she peered at the book
"What is that?" She asked
"My memory book"
"Memory book?" She repeated
"Yep, of me and your grandma"
"....Hey grandpa?"
"What is it?"
"Can you tell me more about grandma?"
"Where do I even begin?"
"Was she pretty?"
"She was the most beautiful person in the world"
"Really!?"
"Yeah, this is her" he pointed to one of her pictures
"She's beautiful!"
"Yeah, many people tried taking her away from me, but I fought them everytime"
"You fought!?"
"I was a mischievous kid, soo much that she hated it when I did get in fights"
"Wow!"

As the years went by Hana would visit her grandpa on her own.
She'd visit on her way back from school or on her days off.
Afterall, she loved the stories he told her.

....

"Sonic Ninja was also one of her favorite comic books"

....

"She had the most beautiful laugh"

....

"she used to hum songs when she washed the dishes, even when she set the table"

....

"Tulips were her favorite flower"

....

"This is a picture of us on our wedding night"

....

"She loved teaching"

.....

"She enjoyed listening to classical music"

....

"She normally bit down on her lip when she was thinking"

....

"She always wanted to play the piano"

....

"Everyday she always had to force me to go to work cause I would never want to leave her side"

.....

"This was us on our 5 year anniversary"

....

"Painting was one of her hobbies"

....

"Did you know Nagisa always-"
"Always smiled at the simplest things" his granddaughter interrupted with a smile on her face
"...." Karma was speechless
Has he told her everything already?
But it made sense, he's been telling her about Nagisa for years now
"I guess I told you everything about her"
"....yeah, but you've never told me what happened to her"
"....."
"Can you tell me? Dad won't say"
Karma looked over at her
The little girl he told stories to was now a 13 year old
He took a deep breath before replying
".....We married when we were 24 years old and were together for 19 years, but...."
"But?"
"She passed away from Leukaemia"
"....."
"....Everything you've told me about grandma, I could tell that she loved you very much."
"I know. I'm the luckiest person in the world"
"I want someone to love me as much as you loved her"
"Loved? What we you talking about? I still love her"
She chuckled and hugged her grandpa

The next day Hikaru went to visit Karma
"Hey dad how are you?"
"......." Karma didn't reply, he was simply looking out the window
"Dad?"
"I've waited over 20 years to join her, but now...but knowing that my time is almost up....I don't want to leave you alone"
"....."
Hikaru walked up to Karma and kneeled on the floor, wrapping his arms around his dad
"I'll be fine dad...I won't be alone...I know that you and mom will always watch over me" he spoke, tears forming in his eyes
"Besides, you taught me how to be strong"
"You really are like your mother"
"I love you dad"
"I Love you too"

The following night Karma passed away in his sleep.

When he woke up he saw Nagisa,  hovering over him, a smile on her face
"Took you long enough"
She looked the same as she did in high school
"Nagisa-?" He stopped midsentence noticing how much younger he sounded
He lifted his hand and saw no wrinkles
"????"
Was he dreaming ?
Nagisa took notice of his confusion and intertwined their fingers together
"I've been waiting for you"
"Nagisa!" Karma got up and quickly wrapped his arms around her
"I missed you!"
"Silly Karma. I was always with you. I was watching over you, our son, our family"
