Tony's P.O.V.

"She's been really ill for almost three days, vomiting, headaches, aching, hot and cold flushes. She has spent the last three days in bed and hasn't really left her room, she's just gotten worse as time has passed." I said.

The doctor nodded, writing everything down before turning to look at Abi, checking for any physical injuries.

"She's quite sensitive to any light or sound, she hasn't been eating properly and she's also pregnant." I said.

The doctors eyes went wide at that and he began frantically typing on his computer.

"I'm going to send you in for a few emergency scans and tests Miss Gilbert, is that alright?" The doctor asked.

Abi briefly nodded her head and the doctor turned to me.

"Go out of this door, turn left and follow it all the way down to the end, take a right and you will find another desk there. I've already booked it in so just tell the guy behind the desk her name and he will send you in the right direction." He said.

I nodded and thanked him before helping Abi up and following his instructions as we walked through the halls, many doctors giving Abi worried looks.

"Abi Gilbert." I said to the guy behind the desk.

"I'm in charge of carrying out her scans, follow me." A doctor said from beside me.

I followed her down the hall and she took Abi out of my arms, I was about to follow them but the doctor stopped me.

"I'm sorry sir but you can't come past this point. You'll have to wait over there." She said, pointing to some chairs behind me.

I was about to protest but I didn't want to delay anything so I did as she said and took a seat. After a few minutes I started to get bored so I pulled out my phone and decided to call Clint.

"Hello?" He said tiredly from the other end.

"Hey." I said.

"How is Abi?" He asked.

"I had to bring her down to the ER, she was getting worse. She's just been rushed in for some emergency tests and scans, I'm not going to lie though; from the look on the doctor's face, I don't think it's going to be a common sickness bug or something." I said sadly.

"I'm coming back early, I'm going to leave now." Clint said quickly.

"Clint you sound exhausted, maybe you should stay wherever you are tonight and then come back in the morning. You're going to be no use to Abi if you crash or something because you've fallen asleep behind the wheel." I said and he sighed.

"You're right, but I'm going to be back first thing in the morning." He said.

"Do you want me to tell Abi?" I asked.

"No, I want it to be a surprise." He said quickly.

"Okay, well get some rest, I'll see you in the morning." I said.

"Night Tony." He said before ending the call.

I sent a text to Steve, telling him that Abi was having a few scans and tests done so don't wait up, and I told him to tell the others too. I rested my head back against the wall as a sigh escaped my lips, part of me was happy that Clint wasn't here because he would be pacing around and freaking out right now. But I also know that Abi would want him here with her instead of me, I knew I was good company but in these sort of situations you want the people you love by your side. Thoughts of Pepper popped into my head, I wondered what she was doing right now over in Washington and before I knew it, I found myself dialling her number.
