Abi's P.O.V.

"Ready?" He asked.

I nodded and we went down to the garage, he made his way over to one of the convertibles and climbed in, putting the roof down.

"Tony it's not even summer yet!" I said.

"But the sun's out and it's 64 degrees!" He said.

I just shook my head as I climbed in next to him, praying he didn't drive as erratically as I'd seem him do before. Thankfully he drove carefully and we parked the car before heading into the hospital. I signed myself in and we took a seat, waiting for my name to be called and about 20 minutes later we were called into one of the rooms.

"Good morning Miss Gilbert, and Mr..." The doctor said, turning to Tony.

"Mr Summers." Tony said.

I wanted to laugh at the fake name he had made up, but if he'd told the doctor his real name god knows what would happen.

"Are you the father?" The doctor asked.

This time I did laugh, and Tony chuckled lightly too.

"No, the father is uh.. he's ill so I stepped in to bring Miss Gilbert today." Tony said.

"He's a good friend, there aren't many of those around any more so don't lost him." The doctor said.

I nodded and smiled up at Tony, he really was a good friend to me and all the others, even if he did drive us all insane sometimes.

"Right, if you can lay back and lift up your top to expose your stomach please." The doctor said.

I did as I was told and she put the gel on my stomach before moving the probe across my stomach. The baby's heartbeat was loud and regular and hearing it made me tear up a little, it was true what they said; being pregnant is the most amazing experience, for the most part at least. I watched the monitor as she moved the probe across my stomach, my little baby coming into view on the screen and my heart skipped a beat.

"Do you want to know the gender?" The doctor asked.

"Yes please!" I said, nodding my head quickly.

When we got back to the tower, we went up in the elevator and everyone, minus Pepper obviously, were sat on the couch. They all jumped up and crowded around when we stepped out.

"So, did you find out?" Steve asked quickly.

"Yep." I said, popping the 'p' as I walked over to get myself a glass of water.

"Well?" Bruce said.

"Tony call Pepper, I want her to hear this too." I said to him.

He nodded and pulled out his phone, dialling Pepper's number and putting it on loudspeaker.

"Hello?" She said.

"Hey, we've just got back from the hospital and Abi wanted you to find out with all the others." Tony said.

"Oh my god! Tell us!" She squealed.

"I'm having a boy!" I announced.

Everyone cheered and Bruce's face broke out in a grin as he looked over at Tony.

"You owe me $50!" He said.

Tony groaned but pulled out his wallet and paid him as we all laughed, Tony couldn't complain because he was the one who made the bet. I thought back to Christmas day when everyone found out, Clint was so happy and so was I.

"Guys I have to go, I should be back in a week; on the 6th. I'll call you later Tony." She said before ending the call.

I looked up at Tony and a big smile now replaced the frown from before, making me smile.
