Those 3 Words || Ushijima Wakatoshi ☁️💫

"Ne~ ne~ Y/n-chan~ you are staring again~" Tendou said in a sing-song tone. "I mean... why wouldn't I?" Y/n smiled as she continued to admire Ushijima from afar.

Y/n met Ushijima Wakatoshi through her good friend Tendou. After Tendou has introduced him to her, the three have been the bestest of friends since. But Y/n couldn't help but to fall for Waka-chan. I mean... who wouldn't?

She can't help but to fall for him. I mean, look at him! He is perfect! But little did she know that Ushijima felt the same way about her.

Tendou seemed to notice this pattern of Ushijima and Y/n constantly hinting to each other and he was sick of it. So, he deviced a plan to set them up together! What could go wrong?

"Semisemi~ I need your help~" Tendou begged. "What now? And stop calling me that!" Semi said in annoyance. "Semi you don't have to be so mean to me! But I'll let it slide this once! I need your help to get Y/n and Ushiwaka together!" Tendou revealed his whole plan to Semi and he was excited to see the outcome of it all.

"Why not set them up at the school carnival? Since it is next week and it's a pretty conveintent spot. There are lots of foods and games there so they should have plenty of things to do." Semi suggested. Tendou's eyes lit up as he smiled and said "Great idea! Thanks Semisemi!" ( a/n: tendou uwu )

~ time skip to the day of the carnival ~

"Waka-chan isn't this the place Tendou told us to meet up at?" Y/n asked the tall man. "Yes. It should be but I don't see Tendou anywhere," Ushijima replied.

Suddenly, the two of them got a text from Tendou stating that he couldn't come because of an "emergency" ( okay Tendou we see you boy 👀 )

Ushijima sighed as he said "Y/n I don't think we should just go alon-" " Wait!" Y/n cut him, "I- I mean. Uhm. Since we are already here, it would be a waste to go back so... wanna spend the day with me?"

Ushijima looked at the girl in confusion. She wants to spend her precious time with him? He was ecstatic to hear that. A small smile formed on his face as he quietly said "Sure. Let's go together."

As they walked around the carnival together, Y/n spotted a crane machine with many cute plushies. "Waka-chan! Look!! They are so cute!!" Y/n squealed in delight as she pointed at the plushies. Ushijima looked at her smaller form and blushed "cute" he thought.

Y/n struggled to get ahold of the plushie she wanted. "UGH! I was so close!!" Y/n groaned in frustration. Ushijima looked at her and asked "Mind if I gave it a try?"
Y/n sighed and said " Knock yourself out buddy. Careful though, the machine might eat up your money. Like what it did to me..." Ushijima couldn't help but to chuckle at her words as he tried the game out for himself.

"WOAH! WAKA-CHAN YOU DID IT!" Y/n squealed. Ushijima passed her the stuffed toy and looked away, quietly mumbling "For you Y/n"

Y/n hugged it tightly and thanked him "Thank you so much Waka-chan. I'll cherish it forever!"

After spending some time at the crane machines, the two decided to go on a food hunt! C'mon who goes to a carnival without eating all the yummy snacks they sell! As more and more people started to crowd, Ushijima was quite worried if he was going to lose the girl. Because she is so smol and hard to find in a sea of people.

Ushijima tried to reach out his hand to her smaller ones but failed. Y/n noticed what he was trying to do and grabbed his larger hands and said "Don't wanna get lost now do we?" Ushijima couldn't help but to blush at her words and he simply just nodded.

After filling their tummies up with the many delicious foods they found, it was getting a little late and they had to bid their goodbyes soon.

This day had been so perfect for the two of them. Y/n wished time would just stop so she could savour her last few minutes with Ushijima. "Waka-chan... I need to go home soon..." Y/n said with a tinge of sorrow. She really didn't want this day to end so soon!

"I'll walk you home then. Since it is late and it would be unsafe for you to go alone," Ushijima replied. The two of them, still hand in hand, walked together, savouring every second they spent with each other.

Finally, the dreaded moment had come. They were in front of Y/n's house already. "I guess this is goodbye now..." Y/n said as she looked down on the floor. "By-" "Wait!" Ushijima interrupted her. "*Ahem* I'm sorry. It was rude for me to interrupt you but I... I just wanted to say that I like you Y/n."

Y/n was shocked to say the least. Tears started forming in the corners of her eyes. Those 3 words. I like you. Those were words she never thought she would hear come out of his mouth. She pulled him into a tight hug and quietly mumbled "I love you too... I love you so much"

The two held each other in their arms. Savouring each second as it passes. Y/n gently cupped his cheek and placed a kiss on his cheek and slowly pulled away.

Ushijima looked at her small frame as she grinned at him. He was so in love with her. She is just... perfect in his eyes. He leaned in and kissed her on the lips firmly.

Y/n pulled away slowly as she brought up a hand to his hair. Gently ruffling his soft locks.

"Wanna stay for dinner?" She asked

"Sure" he smiled as they walked through the door, hand in hand.

Bonus!:
The two happily ate together as they face timed Tendou.

"Sooooo how was your date?" Tendou asked happily.

Ushijima smiled as he held Y/n's hand tightly. "It went amazing. Thank you Tendou."

"Hehe~ no problem~ now have fun you two~" Tendou said

"Oh we will" Y/n smiled
