Let's make it a Date || Ushijima Wakatoshi ☁️💫

"HAHAHAHA! WAKATOSHI-KUN, WHAT DID YOU SAY?" Tendou laughed hysterically, banging the table as he wheezed.

"I said, I don't understand why my heart rushes around Y/n-chan. It does not make sense at all." Ushijima was as deadpanned as ever. He looked rather serious and confused.

"Wakatoshi-kun, do you know what love is?" Tendou teased, nudging his elbow onto Ushijima's shoulder.

"What does love have to do with any of this?" Ushijima questioned, quirking an eyebrow as he folded his arms. Tendou says some interesting things sometimes.

"Well for starters, do you feel your chest pounding when you are around her? Or your stomach doing a 360 when her fingers brushes against your skin? Or, or!" He paused to look around the room and whispered into Ushijima's ear,

"Or when your faces are close." Tendou smiled rather innocently, "so, have you?"

Ushijima blushed, "I cannot deny that I have never felt these feelings Tendou-kun."

Tendou laughed, patting his desr friend on the back. "It's settled then! You're in love!"

Y/n is a beautiful girl. Undoubtedly. She is extremely talented in all she does and most importantly, she actually went to Shiratorizawa.

But here is the catch that not many people know of. Y/n is the younger sister of a famous setter. One that wanted to go to nationals in his third year but lost to Karasuno.

He was the man that struck twitter just because of his ear, he was the man that everyone bullied all over tiktok. And that was none other than Oikawa Tooru.

Now why is this a problem? Sweet innocent child, have you not watched the anime or read the manga? Ushijima Wakatoshi is the sworn archnemesis of Oikawa Tooru.

And he's in love with her.

Oh dear lord, someone save poor Ushiwaka.

"...so what shall I do now Tendou-kun," Ushijima was conflicted. On one hand, if he got together with Y/n and managed to marry her, he could play with Oikawa as much as he'd like. Like Ushijima might even get to convince Oikawa to come to Shiratorizawa.

On the other hand, knowing how Oikawa is like, Ushijima had a hunch that Oikawa would drag Y/n as far ad he could away from him.

Ushijima pondered for a while, it's been a long time since he focused on something non-volleyball. He is a little "shook" ( as his friends say it ) that he could think of other things.

"You could talk to Y/n-chan about your feelings. I'm sure she feels the same way!" Tendou shrugs. It's true though, the two only act up around each other and each other only. Hell, the whole school knows it.

Ushijima brushed it off, "let's just play a match first. This "crush" thing is getting to complicated right now.

While the whole volleyball team was practicing, Y/n and her assistant manager came in a little late. "Sorry guys! Coach was briefing us on some stuff, but we will help you guys for practice today," Y/n announced.

Y/n smiles to herself, she loves volleyball so much. But ever since her knee broke, it's been a nasty journey to recovery so to prevent it from ever getting injured again, she has to stop playing volleyball entirely.

But that didn't mean she should take the fun away for others. That's why she joined as a manager, it was to show the other members why volleyball is fun and loveable.

She tossed the ball to every memeber, watching them spike or bump the ball back. As she tossed the ball to Ushijima, his perfect form spiked the ball in a perfectly straight line and everything about that toss was so perfect AH!

"Nice toss Ushijima-kun!" Y/n complimented, squealing a little towards the end. Damn, why is Ushijima so good at everything?

"Thanks Y/n," he smiled as he walked off. Damn you Wakatoshi, why are you built so different?

Practice went on as per usual and Y/n was packing up the equipment as the other manager gave the team a debrief.

"Let me help you with that." Ushijima gestured his hand out as his big build towers over Y/n. Y/n dragged the volleyball pole to him without breaking a sweat. She's a strong one! And you know Ushijima likes a strong person 😌

As his hand brushed against hers ever so slightly, Y/n couldn't help but to blush. As big and rough his hands appear to be, they were surprisingly soft.

After packing everything up together, Y/n patted his shoulders, "thanks for all of that Waka-chan! I'll treat you to a meal as a thank you!" Her smile was bright and sweet, it made the giant smile back at her.

"I'd like that very much Oikawa-chan," he pat her head back, squealing to himself internally because of how soft Y/n's hair is.

"Let's make it a date?" Y/n side-eyed him as she cringed internally. "WHY DID YOU SAY THAT, HE'S GOING TO SAY NO. Y/N YOU BIG STUPID DUMBASS" Y/n screamed in her head but smiled on the outside, to make things a little less awkward.

Ushijima chuckled, "anything is fine by me as long as it's with you."

Way to make a girl feel special Wakatoshi-kun. Now all that's left to do is to tell her brother that she's coming home late.

What could go wrong?

Apparently everything.

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU'RE GOING OUT AT THIS TIME? AND WITH WAKATOSHI? Y/N GET YOUR ASS HERE BEFORE I GO THERE MYSELF!" Oikawa screamed in all his brotherly glory.

His baby sister is NOT going out with that hunk of a man! Not on his watch! "WAKATOSHI-KUN GET AWAY FROM MY BABY SISTER OR YOU'RE GOING TO GET IT!" Tooru screamed from across the phone, Y/n couldn't help but to laugh hysterically.

Ushijima shrugged, "if you came to Shiratorizawa you could've prevented this." Hearing this, Y/n laughed even more. "Waka-chan you're a riot! Anyways Tooru, I'm going to go out with Ushijima now see ya!"

"I swear to God Y/n if you two are dating you're gonna get it from m-" and with that, Y/n cut off the call. Sorry Tooru, as much as we all love you, Y/n can't take your nagging right now.

With Wakatoshi's hand in her other hand, the two set out on an amazing date. Hayashi rice and a beautiful sunset.
