Achtundfünfzig

Since there wasn't much Taehyung had to do today he was stuck at home. By this time he'd usually be out running errands, walking Yeontan, making lunch for Jeongguk or out with his friends but everyone was busy. Jeongguk had a meeting during lunchtime, Jimin picked up a few extra hours, the fridge was fully stocked, everything was already taken care of and it was starting to pour outside. With that being said, all the blonde could do was sit at home and watch tv.

Yeontan was lying on his chest while he watched Return of Superman and Taehyung couldn't help but coo every time he saw a child pop up on the screen, he had baby fever bad and the scenes of two kids running around didn't make it any better but he couldn't look away.

"Tannie, how would you feel if you got a new sibling?" He asked, playing with the pup's ear as he slowly woke up and looked him, yawning before blinking slowly and tilting his head a little.

"Alright Tannie, I think I know what we're doing today." Taehyung said,Yeontan's ears perking up in curiosity. "Let's take a trip to the pet store and just look- plus, you could use some more food and a couple more toys." He said, getting from the couch. As soon as the word toys was mentioned, Yeontan started jumping around and barking enthusiastically. "That's the spirit!" Taehyung giggled, bending down to pet the Pomeranian before walking to the room to change his clothes.

Taehyung got dressed in some weather appropriate clothes and even put Yeontan in his own little rain poncho, the two got in his car and headed to the nearest pet shop- the same one they've been going to since Taehyung first got Yeontan. The two walked in and were immediately greeted by the barks, chirps, purrs and squeaks of the animals that lived there.

"Good afternoon Tae!" Eric, the shop's manager, smiled.

"Good afternoon Eric, how have things been?" Taehyung smiled back. Eric was a very vibrant guy, he moved here from America a couple years ago and wouldn't trade his job for anything. His parrot Roni was always on his shoulder and was the shop's unofficial bodyguard.

"Great! A couple of our birds were adopted today." He said.

"That's great." The younger said, petting Roni.

"Well what brings you in today? Need more clothes from Tannie?" The brown-haired male asked.

"You know it. I also want to get him some toys and maybe even look into getting him a little sibling." Taehyung said, looking down at the small dog that sat next to him. Whenever they came to the store Eric or anyone working there at the time also let Yeontan roam free, he usually liked to go over to the hamsters and sniff them as they ran on their little wheels- not really paying him any mind but there was one that always loves to stick her paw out and rest it on the pup's nose, her name was Kira.

"Great! Well you know the shop like the back of your hand by now so just call me if you need anything or even find a little one that you like." Eric smiled.

"Will do." Taehyung nodded before walking further into the store. As he walked towards where the toys and food were, he couldn't help but look at the kittens. Yeontan was already ahead of him when the blonde stopped in his tracks when he met eyes with an ash gray little kitten.

"Oh my god, you're so cute!" He cooed, feeling a major boost of serotonin. "Eric, can you help me?" He asked, calling over the aforementioned male.

"Yes?" He asked, curious as to what had Taehyung so giddy.

"Who's this?" The younger asked, pointing at the kitten that was curled up in a ball and peeking over his tail at them.

"Well, we don't quite have a name for him yet but he and his litter were born about 4 weeks ago so he's still new to the world." Erin told him.
