We were now on our way to Lilith and her mom's village. I was more or less concerned about their situation at the village, but what Sarah told me caught me off guard.

Apparently, everyone knows about Lilith being a Child of Zerris. They've known about it since her birth. Yet, in spite of that, they welcomed her like another member of the village.

I was more or less confused by this sort of development. Usually, when a Child of Zerris was born, they were usually cast out of a village, town, or city. The worst-case was a plain old witch hunt, where said villagers, townspeople, and city folk would hunt the Child of Zerris down and kill them.

This was a first for me to hear a village accepting a Child of Zerris, knowing full well of the situation. Not even Thana, who was also a Child of Zerris, had ever experienced something like this.

I saw her memories when we first met, and I knew that she and her family were on the run. That all ended when the angry mob found Thana and her parents and killed them, which resulted in her killing the entire mob in a fit of rage.

After learning about this, I was more intrigued by Lilith and her home. People usually fear anything related to Zerris. Thana and I were a prime example of that, so Lilith's case was quite special.

While we were walking back to the village, Thana and Lilith continued playing with each other. They stopped doing the guessing game and played something else. I think it was I Spy, but I don't remember telling Thana about that particular game.

I guess she found out about it from looking into my memories again. Oh well, it's not like it's harming anyone, so letting them continue to play should be fine.

After dealing with the other monsters, Amy and the others showed up to greet Sarah and Lilith. As usual, Lilith's mom was more or less surprised and shocked by the new members appearing, but I made sure to inform her that they were coming, so she doesn't get a heart attack.

Continuing our little stroll to the village, Lilith asked us all sorts of questions.

"Are you really a vampire, Mr. Vlad?"

"Well, I'm half-vampire. My mom was human while my father was a vampire."

"Oooh! Is your dad really strong?"

"I don't know...I never met him."

"Oh...I'm sorry." Lilith looked sad for mentioning it, but Vlad assured her that it was okay.

This kid does ask a lot of questions. Are all kids like that?

"Ms. Amy, are you really Zerris's daughter?"

"That's right. I was known for being Mother's first child. My other siblings were born afterward."

"How many siblings do you have?"

"Too many to count. Raven and Arri over here are actually my sisters if you'd believe me."

"Really?!" This not only came from Lilith but also from me and Vlad.

Arri was one thing, but is Raven really Amy's supposed sister? I mean, sure, they were both made by Zerris, but that sounds a bit much, right?

I looked over at Raven, who raised her head up almost as if she was proud to be Amy's sister. Huh, I guess it was true.

"So, Ms. Arri, what are you? Ms. Amy is a mage, right, so are you also a mage?"

"No, dear, I'm what you'd call an Arachne,"
