Two days passed by and I haven't made that much progress in my training. Mainly because part of my training involved working together with Tora and Anri, but...

"Dammit, you two! Can't you at least work together and stop fighting them all by yourself?!"

No matter how much I shouted, Tora and Anri refused to listen to me as they charged at Valdr and Zemmi on their own. These guys were more focused on competing against one another rather than actually doing what we're here to do.

At first, I thought those two didn't want to work with me because of that engagement nonsense, but after these past couple of days, I realized that they could care less about that right now.

While I sighed in frustration, Tora and Anri faced off against Valdr and Zemmi. Tora clashed against the god of war while Anri was up against Zemmi.

"Hah!" Tora shouted as she thrust her fist at Valdr.

The god of war simply blocked the attack with the sheath of his weapon, giving Tora a smug grin while doing so. This angered Tora as her next attack was a barrage of punches, aiming directly at the god's smug face.

I feel like War was influencing Tora's emotions there. Ever since Valdr joined our training, Tora has been targeting the god-like crazy. Even when Zemmi tries to step in and provide support for Valdr, she ignores her teacher and makes a beeline for him.

I guess that goes to show how much of a grudge Valdr's mom has for her own son after that war. I can't say I blame her, though.

Moving on, there's the fight between Zemmi and Anri. This fight is pretty shocking to watch because Anri's acting a lot more aggressive than usual.

That girl usually has a stern yet reserved look on her face, which makes her the patient type. However, she hasn't shown a single sign of that since our training session started.

She's fighting more like some barbarian rushing into the battlefield rather than a swordswoman going up against a single opponent. Zemmi even told her as such, and this girl didn't seem to even care and kept doing it.

Anri made a couple of slashes at Zemmi, to which she easily blocked them. When Zemmi was about to make an attack of her own, Anri must've activated [Divine Eyes] and predicted what she should do and evaded the attacks accordingly.

However...

"Don't think that'll save you!" Zemmi then slammed her bone blade on the ground, kicking up dust and blinding Anri.

Anri tried to see what was going on and started panicking. I didn't know why until I noticed multiple stab moves appeared and tried piercing oni captain.

Anri tried to block the stab attacks, but she could only block a couple while the rest got past her defenses. She got pushed back from the attacks and fell on her back.

Meanwhile, Tora kept launching punch after punch at Valdr, but she made little to no progress in landing a hit as the god evaded or blocked her fists. During one of Tora's attacks, Valdr decided to grab her fist this time, causing a slight shockwave from the impact.

"Bye-bye!" Valdr then delivered a punch of his own and send Tora flying backward.

She landed near Anri, and the two of them were down for the count.

"You guys aren't making much progress, you know?" Zemmi stated.

"I'll say," Valdr agreed. "We've been mostly dealing with the two girls while the demi-elder was silently watching. Of course, I could tell that during his time watching, he's also been working training his [Absolute Domain] skill."
