"It's been quite a while since I've been to the city," Drake said while sipping on his coffee.

"This is actually my first time coming here," Haga replied, drinking what appeared to be tea. "This café has really good tea, though."

The Criminal duo was currently in a café in Bruemore City. They arrived in the city a couple of hours ago.

It took a little while for them to actually enter the city since they needed to get through the gate. The security tightened up, and Drake didn't want to overuse his illusion magic to sneak in, so he went the normal way while setting up a simple disguise.

Once they got inside, the two criminals started to gather information about what's been going on in the city. They needed to know everything to make further preparations.

Since they were in the city, Drake couldn't wear his mask unless he wanted to cause a commotion and alert the guards, so he was currently maskless. Underneath the white mask was a young and handsome face with light and dark shades of green hair. His eyes were also green, though it was more lime.

Drake looked out the window of the café. His eyes wandered over the people setting up decorations for the upcoming Festival. The same Festival that he had to ruin.

"The Festival is coming up in two days, correct?" Drake asked.

"That's right. It'll be the Light Goddess's day first. They'll likely have the Holy Dance Ceremony like usual."

The Light Dance Ceremony was a traditional dance used as a purification and healing effect. It'll have five dancers on stage, dancing about in a soothing motion.

There are similar dances for the other gods' days, but each one is unique in its own way. Another thing to note is that each dance has different effects and purposes.

The Fire Dance on Aedus Day, for example, has an effect that gives the people a burning passion, motivating them to work harder this year. It also rejuvenates them from all fatigue and such, which only makes their desires get more fired up.

"So," Drake placed his cup down and stared at Haga. "What did you find out?"

"Right," Haga soon took a more composed appearance before continuing. "It seems that a lot of stuff has been going on in the city. And it apparently revolves around a single person."

"...The Champion?" Drake hesitantly asked.

"Yes...I'm afraid so,"

The duo grew silent upon realizing source of all the commotion. It seems that the Champion of Darkness has been busy.

According to the rumors and such, Zerris's Champion has been showing himself quite frequently in the city. Ever since he and the other rulers made an Oath to one another, the Champion has been making himself known in Bruemore.

At first, the people were quite fearful of him, but after a while, they've gotten used to his presence and antics. There have been a couple of occasions where the Champion caused a bit of a commotion.

It was mostly fights with adventurers that picked a fight with him. There was also him completing extremely difficult quests at the guild without so much as a scratch on him.

Although he's powerful, there have been moments that the citizens and adventurers alike believed that he seemed a little too strong. 'Course, no one ever actually voiced their opinions about such matters.

"Do you believe that the Champion will be an issue?" Haga voiced her concern.

"It would be very likely that he could but facing him head-on would be the worst possible scenario. We'll just have to hope that he doesn't get involved in the Festival activities."
