Chapter 8: The Date

Once we got through the portal, we found ourselves back in the city. It was the usual place where Amy and I have our dates.

Just so you know, I've never had a girlfriend or been on a date until a couple months ago, so when I first started dating Amy, I didn't really know much about what to do. Luckily, Amy was in the same boat, so I didn't really feel left out.

Since both of us were inexperienced, we decided to get some advice from people who have dated before. We didn't really have a wide variety of experts, but there were a couple that helped us.

One of them was King Allen. Before Allen became King, he used to be a regular artisan, and he dated a couple of girls. In fact, his wife was actually his one of his girlfriends before he became King after the previous king died.

Anyway, Allen, along with his wife, gave us some tips on what to do on dates and such. Go sightseeing, eat at a restaurant, go shopping, those kinds of things. I already knew this kind of stuff because I sometimes overhear the students back in my old world, but I was still hesitant to do it.

So, for a first date, we decided to do some sightseeing around the city. And, to our surprise, it was definitely worth it.

Because we were on the run before, we never really got to look around the city, so Amy and I saw a lot of amazing things. For one thing, we got to learn the districts of the city.

There are five districts in the city: A Market District, a Nobles district, a Slums district, A downtown district, and a military district. The market district has markets and stands selling their products, the Nobles district is where high ranking nobles live, the slums district is where the poor live, the downtown district is kind of like the market district, but it's mainly used for tourist outings and such, and lastly, the military district was where the army and such live.

To my knowledge, there are military families in the Military district that are there to show discipline and power over the other soldiers. Also, both the Nobles and military district are in close proximity of the Castle where Allen resides.

Our current location was the downtown district. The reason for this is because this was where Amy and I do our dates. Another thing, the Adventurers guild was in the downtown district as well.

We came across the guild as we strolled through the streets. My first thoughts when I saw the guild was going in to talk with James the Guild master, but I can save that for another day.

Right now, for the moment, I wanted to spend some time with Amy. Although we have some time with each other at home, it's also with Vlad and the others, so we didn't have much alone time.

Especially with Thana, Arri, and Kenos. Those three girls are always getting in between the two of us when we try to spend time together.

Thana and Arri do it out of spite for their affection of me. Kenos mainly does it to annoy us, so I've been using commands to make her to embarrassing things as punishment.

"What do you want to do today, master?" Amy asked me.

"I'm not sure. I'm a little hungry, though I do have something I'd like to deal with while we're here." I then looked down at my current clothes, though one piece of it was missing; my jacket.

My old jacket got burned up by that damn troll, and I never got around the chance to buy a new one. Right now, I was just wearing a gray shirt, black pants, and shoes.

I was kind of fond of my fur hooded jacket. I at least want to get a new jacket while I'm here, because after the date, I have some other business to deal with.
