It's been about three months after the War of Askon. After I took care of War and passed out, many things have happened.

The first thing that occurred was the defeat of the demon lords and the taking control of Sage City. With the Demon lords defeated, their city was up for grabs, so Sayuri, acting as temporary emperor, seized the city under their control.

Since then, Sage city has been under repairs after the rampage of the forbidden beast War. Luckily, none of the civilians of Sage City were killed, but there were many that were injured and many more that lost their homes during the war.

Because of this, the twelve clans and temporary empress have been quite busy while I was unconscious. Unfortunately, I woke up one week after the war, and I almost instantly got roped in the chaos that was happening in the Emerald Palace.

I can still remember Sayuri watching over me with a kind smile...before sending me to the depths of hell with that monstrous load of paperwork stacked on that office desk.

Damn you, Seer!

Anyway, my personal gripe put aside, all of us were extremely busy for the past few weeks. And it mostly revolved around the reconstruction of the Demon Lords' city.

As for what happened to the Demon Lords, they have all been put in a very high-security prison. And by prison, I mean currently being sealed under the weight of a mountain.

Apparently, they got this idea from a known tale of one of the past Wukong Heads getting sealed inside a mountain as punishment for committing a rather heinous crime. And as punishment for killing the previous Jade Emperor and starting a war with Tengoku, they were sentenced to life imprisonment under the weight of a mountain.

And with the demon lords taken care of, Askon didn't have to worry about the threat of the demon lords. Well, at least for now.

So, just like how the twelve clans had children to pass on their titles, so too did the Demon Lords. The five demon lords all had sons and they're apparently on the run.

After the demon lords were defeated and Sage City was overtaken, the sons of the demon lords fled the city and went into hiding. I figured they would pose an issue to Tengoku, but Sayuri said not to worry so much. At least, for now.

If Sayuri said it's not a problem, then I'm not going to stress about it. I have plenty of other things to work on at the moment, so yeah.

And just like that, a month had passed since the war of Askon. Everything was slowly dying down and I was able to finally relax.

And since everything was more or less done, and I managed to stop Noctiluca's group from taming War, it was about time to leave Askon.

"Alright, I'm assuming we have everything?" I asked the others.

"Yeah, they should be in your [Storage] right now," Vlad answered, helping me clean up the room.

We were packing up the futons and bed ware that we were using while staying at the Emerald Palace. Fuzuki and a few maids were planning on doing that, but I told them that we were going to since we were already here.

Since I was technically still their emperor, they had no choice but to listen, so Fuzuki and her maid squad went over to the Throne room where the others were.

Once we got everything cleaned in our rooms, my group and I left the rooms and headed over to the Throne Room.

"About three months have passed by, huh?" Zemmi muttered. "Time sure does fly."

"Didn't feel that way to me," I groaned. "That paperwork from hell took me an eternity to finish."

I wasn't kidding when I said it took me a long time to finish those multiple stacks of paperwork on my desk. Not only that, but instead of helping me, Sayuri just stood there and watched like some kind of sadist.
