Chapter 111: Training Part 1

   "Careful with that sword, Anri!"

"Then watch where you swing your fists, Byakko!"

"Can the two of you knock it off and actually work together!? We're getting out asses ki-agh?!"

Before I could finish my sentence, I was kicked in the stomach and tumbled backward. I groaned in pain as I watch Anri and Tora get knocked back by our two opponents like they were nothing.

"Geez, you guys are really desynchronized," Zemmi said, shaking her head in disappointment.

"Not only that, but the little demi-elder is a lot weaker than I thought. Did he really take down one of my aunts?" Valdr questioned, looking down at me like I was some bug.

Dammit...I didn't think my training session would end up like this.

A few hours ago, I agreed to do some training to prepare for the battle against the Demon Lords. I agreed to do this because I'm aware of how weak I was.

In order for me to go toe to toe with the Demon Lords, I need to train with [Absolute Domain]. Although I'm able to use it a lot more than before, I'm still limited and can't use it at full power.

Plus there's the duration when using it. If I use [Absolute Domain] at full power, not only will it only be for a brief moment, but I'll put myself into a coma, like the last two times. So, I need to work on that.

That's why I'm training...of course, there are some issues. Issue number one was who was training me.

Zemmi was one thing since she's my teacher and I gained a lot from her lessons. It's my other mentor I have a bit of an issue with.

"Your stance is off, kid!" Valdr struck his blade against Thana.

The force he put behind his attack caused my knees to buckle. I couldn't even push against his attack or deflect the attack. I just blocked it and got pushed back in the process.

{Holy crap...!}

{Eeep...!}

{T-this guy's too much for us!}

{Agh...this is getting ridiculous!}

My parallel minds were struggling just as much as I was. Thana was also pretty frustrated.

[This guy is just toying with us, dammit! Master, do something!]

[What do you think I'm doing?!]

Getting frustrated, I swung Thana at Valdr, only for him to easily block the attack with ease. Not only that...

"That was a sloppy swing!" Valdr declared, deflecting my sword away then swung his at me.

I barely managed to block the attack, and due to my poor stance, I got thrown backward a couple of feet. That hit felt like I got hit by a truck.

If I knew fighting a god would be this troublesome, I would've just stuck with Zemmi. At least she holds back more than this bastard...

"Thinking of something rude, are we?" Valdr grinned evilly at me, swinging his blade down and shattering the ground where I was.

If I hadn't used [Blink], I would've been done for. After moving away from Valdr, I saw the damage he had done to the ground. A giant crater from where I laid down was formed.

Gods...I'm really starting to hate this.

And if that wasn't enough...I have two other problems to deal with.
