I quickly rushed over to where Sayuri was, anger and anxiety clear on my face. After everything that happened with Anri and Tora, I needed an explanation. And I knew that woman was the only one that can give them to me, whether she wanted to or not.

Arriving at the emerald temple, I went over to Sayuri's office. As usual, she had guards at the entrance, keeping away unwanted visitors.

However, when they saw me, they simply moved aside and allowed me in. Sayuri definitely informed them that I was coming here. Leave it to that damn seer.

Opening the sliding door, I entered the Seer's office, where I saw her working on some paperwork.

"Hello, Damien," Sayuri greeted me, not even pulling her head up to see who it was, as if she already knew, which she obviously did.

"We need to talk, Sayuri," I said, my voice stern and cold.

"I'm assuming it's about what happened in the western district?"

"It's not just that, dammit! I want to know what happened with Anri's mother. Your daughter! I want to know about what happened that day!"

Pausing for a moment, the pen in her hand staying motionless, Sayuri then lifted her head up to look at me, a very serious expression on her face...

...

A little while before my visit, I just witnessed Anri speed off after she said she killed her mother with tears streaming down her eyes.

I was so shocked to hear this, that I couldn't even bring myself to chase after her. Tora was the same as she stood there even more surprised.

After a few moments, I finally found the energy to speak up.

"...What was Anri talking about just then? Why...did she say that she killed her mother?"

It didn't take long before Tora replied.

"...When we were kids, an incident occurred and Anri was forced to kill her own mother."

She killed her mom? And what did she mean by "forced"?!

"Why did she kill her?"

"It...was because she was possessed by a demon. She was causing some trouble, and from what I heard, Anri was the one that killed her."

"Wait, what do you mean from what you heard? You didn't see this yourself?"

"No, I...heard about the events a day later. I, uh, was actually planning to visit Anri that day to see what was wrong with her. S-she was stressed at the time, and I couldn't see her."

"Stressed?"

Geez, this whole story was getting complicated by the minute. There's so much I don't know about this situation.

"G-gods, why did...why didn't I see this? Why didn't I think it was because of her stupid visions?!"

While I was trying to collect my thoughts, Tora was getting frustrated. She fell to her knees and smashed the ground, making a small crater.

"T-Tora, calm down!" I told her.

This situation was taking a toll on her. If this continues, she might go berserk.

"Why didn't she tell me this?! Why didn't she confide in me?!" Tora kept smashing her fist against the ground, growing angrier by the minute.

"Tora, you need to calm do-"

"How can I calm down in this situation?!" Tora turned to me; her eyes red with anger. "All of this started when Anri had a vision of her mother's death! That has to be it!"
