After Amaris's day was over, Emma and I went straight home via [Gate]. We had a lot of work to do, so I decided to make haste. Emma had no objections, so we didn't have to walk all the way home on foot.

Once we got back, our next destination was Desmond's Base. It was pretty late at night, so everyone, aside from us and Vlad, should be sleeping by now. Emma and I, on the other hand, won't be getting any sleep tonight.

We'll be too busy working. It shouldn't affect Emma so much as it will likely affect me. What I will mostly be doing is looking into a couple of useful spells or skills used for traps.

I'll also be working on my other plan to lighten the workload of using [Monitor] and [Map] with the [Parallel Minds] skill. This will likely take the whole night, so I was at least prepared when and if it comes to that.

Alright, let's get started.

...

"...How long have we been down here, Emma?"

"Approximately ten hours, thirty-two minutes, and twelve seconds."

Geez, we been in here for that long? I was a little surprised by this. I mean, I can understand being engrossed in reading for so long, but I didn't expect to be working for that long without even taking a short catnap.

Just as Emma confirmed, it has definitely been ten hours since we got back home and went to work in the bunker. I could tell from my [Monitor] that the sun was already up in the sky, so it was a little after morning.

Vlad and the others should be awake by now. I should head back up and talk to them about our plans for today.

Making my decision, I opened up a portal that led to the living room of the mansion. When I showed up, I was greeted with some unhappy faces.

"Where were you all night?" Amy asked with an angry expression.

"U-uh...in the Office?" Although I meant to answer her question, it sounded like I was questioning my own whereabouts.

"And why were you in the Office? Actually, how long have you beenthere?" Thana jumped in and asked her own questions.

"U-umm...the whole night, I guess?" Once again, I felt like I was curious about my location as well, which was why it sounded like a question. "I've been working on a few things to prepare for the upcoming festival days."

"And you didn't think that it could wait?" Arri asked with a very sinister and pissed off smile. I could feel a chill run down my spine when I saw it.

"I-I mean, I guess it could've waited...?" To be completely honest, I wasn't sure what to do in this situation with all three girls glaring at me so intensely.

Why were they so angry anyway? I don't remember getting them so worked up before leaving. Maybe I forgot to get them souvenirs?

{I don't think that's it, Damien. They seem angry for a whole different reason.}

The person that spoke inside my head was none other than myself. Well, my parallel mind self. Turns out the [Parallel Minds] skill was a success on everything I tested it out with. Plus, I was able to have up to four of them.

When I first used the skill, a collection of voices, which were my own, started talking out all at once.

{Testing, testing! Is this thing on?}

{I-I don't think you have to be so loud, y-you know?}

{Hmm, despite being a parallel mind, I'm getting a little hungry...}
