8. Baby Mama

Positive.

That's the sixth pregnancy test Jennie used in the last hour. All in hopes it would suddenly show negative.

The distressed brunette ran a hand through her hair and tossed the test into the trash bin.

It's not that she hated the thought of having kids, it's just that she knew as a fact her girlfriend would not like this revelation.

The two just graduated from university and made it clear that neither of them was ready for kids. Well or more like her girlfriend isn't ready and Jennie just agreed.

It was just a week ago even.

The two of them were visiting her sister's family and were spending the day with their kids.

"Tag you're it!" Yeji announced after headbutting Jisoo's side before she ran away, in the garden.

"That's not how you catch someone!" Jisoo groaned and ran after the little girl. She reached her little friends and signalled them to shoot at Jisoo with their water pistols.

"Evil!" Jisoo whined, only making the girls more excited and further energised.

The jets of water deepened Jisoo's frown and made her back away. She raised her arms and turned around but they were following her until they had no more water and had to refill their guns.

She used that opportunity and hid behind Jennie who was drinking tea with Jisoo's twin sister and her wife.

"They are out to get me." Jisoo pouted, trying to hide her body behind Jennie's chair.

"Yeah it looks like they're having fun." Jennie smiled, patting Jisoo's head.

"Having fun trying to drown me..." Jisoo gestured to her drenched clothes and wet hair. "They know I can't swim, that's why."

"I'm sure that's not true." Jennie grinned at how adorable her girlfriend looked, pleading for her help.

"It might be true." Joohyun interrupted. "Their brains do work like that."

"See!?" Jisoo claimed frantically, pulling on Jennie's arm to get her to protect her.

Jennie however was focused on how tired Joohyun sounded and how she and Seulgi looked like they aged fifty years in the last week. Is that how it is with children?

For sure that was Jisoo's perception too because when they arrived home she said, "I'm so glad we have no children yet. I'm so not ready to turn into their slave or how it's officially called, a mom."

Jennie awkwardly nodded her head and chuckled.

The truth is she has already done a few pregnancy tests before and they were all positive. She just had no idea how to break it to her girlfriend. It was her idea to visit Joohyun, hoping that seeing her niece would make Jisoo swoon and want children. But in fact it did the opposite. She was more adamant on not having them.

She still had no idea weeks later. Eventually she would have to tell her. Her bump would be showing one day. And she's certain she can't blame it on gaining weight the whole time.

Even though they were so careful, this happened. They always use a condom while Jennie is also on the pill. It should keep them safe but apparently nothing they can do will make it 100% safe for her to not get impregnated.

"You still haven't told her?" Rosé asked with a clearly judging look on her face.

"I'm scared she will leave me..."
