Jisoo jotted her answers down on her paper before class began. She did a few exercises to pass time. Her surroundings opted to use that time to chit chat.

She then felt a presence near her, like a shadow hovering over her. Although it was a bit brighter than that. Maybe more like the sun shining upon her.

She lifted her head and saw her classmate Jennie smiling at her.

"Hi." She smiled goofily.

For some reason she was in a great mood which is not surprising actually, she always has a smile on her face when she talks to Jisoo.

"Hi." Jisoo responded less motivated than the other.

She returned her gaze to her paper but she still felt Jennie's presence lingering.

"What are you doing?" Jennie queried cheerfully, still standing across her table.

"Studying." Jisoo answered curtly.

"That's cool. You are very hard working." Jennie awed.

Jisoo nodded her head meekly in acknowledgement.

"What did you do during the weekend? I went to a museum with my dad." Jennie continued to talk enthusiastically.

"I didn't do anything particularly." Jisoo responded, writing the last sentence on her paper before she put the lid on her pen.

She now faced Jennie whose eyes were still sparkling, especially when Jisoo met her line of sight.

Their moment was cut short as their teachers and entered and told everyone to go back to their seats.

During lunch break, Jisoo realised she had forgotten her lunchbox at home after grabbing into an empty backpack.

She sighed and looked at the clock. She wouldn't make it to her house and back here for the next lesson. She also didn't have money on her to buy breadrolls. She will have to just skip lunch and eat at home.

Just when she was about to accept her fate the rays of her sun shone on her again and Jennie was standing beside her. Before Jisoo could say anything Jennie put a tupperbox on her table.

Jisoo looked up to her questioningly, finding Jennie grin and cover her red cheeks with her hands.

"I made sandwiches and cookies." Jennie explained, gesturing to the box. "I made too many, so I was thinking, maybe you want some." She scratched her neck sheepishly.

Jisoo's stomach grumbled which widened Jennie's smile.

Trying to hide her embarrassment Jisoo opened the box and grabbed a sandwich. She bit down on it as Jennie watched her excitedly.

"Is it good?" Jennie asked while Jisoo was chewing.

Jisoo swallowed.

It was an avocado caprese sandwich that her taste buds registered.

It actually melted on her tongue delightfully and she loved the taste. It doesn't just taste good but it also made her feel warm like she could feel the tenderness Jennie put into it.

"Decent." Jisoo shrugged.

"I see..." Jennie's smile diminished a tiny bit.

Usually Jisoo's short responses don't affect her much but she probably expected something more this time.

Jisoo didn't like that view. She felt guilt tug at her. She quickly grabbed a cookie, eating it.

"It's good too." Jisoo referred to the chocolate crisp cookie. Another understatement, it was warm and fluffy. Amazing even.
