"Told you, you could do it." Jisoo said proudly after opening the letter and reading it to her human.

"I won...?" Jennie asked curiously. She asked Jisoo to read it first because she was too nervous to do it herself.

"Unsurprisingly, yes." Jisoo lifted her hand and patted the human's head, eliciting a smile from her plump lips.

"Wow..." Jennie beamed as a gummy smile overtook her face and turned her eyes to crescents. She walked forward and sat on Jisoo's lap, giving her a happy hug.

"Good job!" Jisoo cooed, wrapping her arms around the younger as she took her in her arms, feeling her head lay on her shoulder.

"What now?" Jennie asked, peeking her head out cutely.

"Let's celebrate." Jisoo suggested.

Jisoo has held celebrations for her human before. Like the time of the year that is called birthday. She made sure to celebrate it with her all the time.

Every year, Jisoo invites her demon friends and they help her decorate the house and bake a cake. The theme ends up being gloomy and even scary but the friends Jennie invites always find it amusing.

They once compared the decorated apartment to a haunted house which made Jisoo really proud of her work.

Thanks to the angel Rosé, the cake ends up edible, so there are no cons with this arrangement.

Well except for the fact that Jennie is absolutely terrified of anything remotely scary. That's why Jisoo has to guard her especially well during this day.

Today it's not her birthday but it's a similar occasion, so Jisoo might as well treat it like it was.

"You don't mean...." Jennie trailed off, meeting her cheeky gaze with a shocked expression.

"Yes, I mean." Jisoo grinned, causing Jennie to groan.

"I think a bit blood is missing here..." Lisa mumbled while pouring the blood she had stored in her bottle on the floor.

"The cake is done! No one touch it!" Chaeyoung yelled from the kitchen, making the demons nod.

Jennie would be home soon, Jisoo was hoping she would like it. This year they tried to make it less scary and more "appropriate." Chaeyoung kept a strict supverision on them.

"Lisa, stop, there is no need for eyeballs and blood, at least use fake ones if you have to throw them around." The angel scolded her girlfriend.

"That's no fun." Lisa pouted but did as told and put some of them back into her pocket.

After all the preparations were done, the trio waited. Somehow Lisa and Chaeyoung helped Jisoo in raising her human all those years. They felt attached to her too even though the human couldn't see them.

It's funny because no guardian angel wanted her and now she had three. Technically two of them are demons and the actual angel already has another human, that's why she can't stay as long but she still helps whenever she is free.

It took a bit too long and Chaeyoung had to leave as predicted, Jisoo told Lisa she could go to if she wanted but she decided to at least stay until Jennie arrives and then she will follow her girlfriend.

"I'm gonna check at the uni, you stay here and tell me if she comes home." Jisoo requested of her friend who nodded in agreement.

Jennie stashed her writing utensils into her backpack after finishing the last sentence of her notes. She slung the backpack around herself and walked to the door, leaving their lecture room.
