3rd Person POV

"Kara, I can't go to outer space." Willow tells Kara, handing her a cup of tea before sitting down across from her at the table

"Why not?" Kara asks

"Because I'm still sick." Willow tells her, pushing a strand of her hair away from her freckled face

"You always use that excuse." Kara says with a slight whine

"This time, it's true." Willow responds before coughing a few times
"Is that the only reason you can't go to space with me?" Kara asks. "Cause I bet the DEO has whatever medication to get that sickness out of you."

Willow fakes a laugh. "I'm not sure it's that simple. Besides, I'd rather not leave National City." She says. 'I can't leave National City' is what she meant to say. Willow looks at Kara, getting serious. "Look, since I can't go with you...you have to promise me, and I mean really really promise me that you're going to be safe."

"Of course I will be." Kara says, putting her hand on top of Willow's. It's silent for a moment before Kara turns her head. "If your organization requires you to protect me at all times...are they going to be mad at you for not coming with me?"

"No." Willow answers. 'Probably' her voice echoes through her head. "They know I'm sick." She says, 'No, they don't...'

"Okay." Kara says. "Well, feel better." She says, patting Willow's hand before standing up from the table. "I'll come check on you when I come back."

"Okay." Willow says with a smile and a small nod

Once the door to her apartment was closed behind Kara, Willow's smile drops and a tear falls from her eye with a small sniffle. Willow blinks away the tears pricking at her eyes

***

A knock is heard on the door. Willow wipes her hair from her face before making her way over to the door

Willow opens the door to reveal Marvin standing there with a suitcase. "Sir?" She asks, stepping aside so he could walk into the house and she closes the door behind him

Marvin walks over to the table. "Good to see you, soldier." He says, lifting the suitcase onto the table and unzipping it

"What is that?" Willow asks, walking over and watching. Marvin unzips the suitcase completely and Willow looks inside. "Oh." She says

"I need more blood for analysis." Marvin tells her, grabbing the blood drawing tools from the suitcase

"You didn't find anything in the last sample?" Willow questions. "You took a lot of my blood, sir, and there was nothing that pointed to getting the tracker out?"

"No easy solutions yet." Marvin tells her, still rummaging through the suitcase

"We knew this wouldn't be easy." Willow reminds him

"Yes, soldier." Marvin says, pulling the last of the supplies out of the suitcase and placing it on the table. "Sit down."

"How much more do you need?" Willow asks, sitting down at the table

"A lot." Marvin tells her

"Testing for the same thing?" Willow asks. "Results might be different. I am sick, you know."

"Of course I know that, soldier." Marvin tells her, grabbing her arm and prepping for injection. "That's why I'm testing you again."

"Wait, what?" Willow asks, tugging her arm away from Marvin's grasp

Marvin sighs, pulling the needle away since it was obvious Willow wouldn't continue this without full explanations. "I have a theory."

"Please elaborate." Willow says
