"You saved them Mr. Luthor." A reporter tells Lex as Supergirl and J'onn walk onto the scene
"These people will all think Lex saved them." J'onn says
"Wasn't Lex the one who put them in here?" Supergirl questions
"Apparently not." William says. "Listen to this." He says, showing them a video that takes their minds to the past few days, wondering how they got to this situation

...over the past few days
"Our lives are connected by 1,000 invisible threads." Lex Luthor says on the news. Willow and Marvin watch the TV intently, both taking notes on the presentation. "Those immortal words by Herman Melville are realized today with Obsidian technology. But with Obsidian Platinum, you hold the thread. You are the architect of your world! And not only your world, but the world. There is nothing you cannot manipulate to your own ends. Nothing you cannot control! Obsidian offers something special, something unique, something rare, and that, my friends, is control! Complete and total control!"
"One hundred countries, worldwide saturation." Andrea Rojas presents. "It took 40 years for the cell phone to reach as many users as our lenses have reached in one month. All thanks to our passionate ambassador, Lex Luthor!" And with that, the crowd watching applauds
Willow looks over at Marvin as the news cuts to a commercial break. Marvin grabs the remote and mutes the TV so that the two can talk. Marvin opens his mouth to speak but then Willow's phone goes off
Willow rushes over to grab her phone. "It's Alex." She says, looking at Marvin
"Answer it." Marvin tells her
Willow answers the call, bringing the phone up to her ear. "Alex?" She asks through the phone
"Willow." Alex's voice responds through the phone, sniffles and tears evident in her voice
"What's wrong?" Willow questions, turning away from Marvin. "Is Kara okay? Did something happen?" She questions quickly
"Our dad died." Alex whispers
"Oh, my god...I'm so sorry for your loss." Willow says through the phone
"Thanks. I just wanted to let you know." Alex tells Willow, sniffling. "I talked to Kara earlier but just in case you wanted to reach out..."
"I will." Willow says. "Thanks."
"Bye." Alex whispers, hanging up the phone
"Everything okay?" Marvin asks as Willow presses one button on her phone, Kara's number on speed dial
Willow puts the phone up to her ear as it rings. "I need to check on Kara. Alex's dad died and he was Kara's adoptive father." She explains as the phone rings. And then the phone call is answered. "Kara?" Willow asks through the phone
"Willow?" Kara questions, her voice fragile like Alex's was and relief flooding through her voice
"How are you doing?" Willow asks
"I think...I think I need you here..." Kara whispers
Willow looks over at Marvin before turning her body away and lowering her voice. "I..." She whispers, tears pricking her own eyes. "...you know we can't be in the same room for too long."
"I just need to see you. For a minute." Kara whispers back
Willow glances at Marvin. "I'll see what I can pull off." She says, ending the call
