As Ponyboy and Darry walked through the crowd of families reuniting with their loved ones who came home from the war. Ponyboy spotted a familiar face.
"Sodapop?" Ponyboy said in tears.
"Ponyboy..." Soda grasped Ponyboy in a hug. Darry then hugged Soda.
"Thank God your alright!" Darry sobbed
"I missed you guys so much." Soda cried
Ponyboy took off the camo hat Sodapop was wearing to reveal Sodas shaved head.
"Oh no, your tough hair." Pony said
"Don't worry...It'll grown back." Soda smiled
"C'mon let's go home, the gangs waiting for us."
"Oh boy have I missed them."
They then drove back home.
Soda opened the door to Steve hugging Soda tightly and crying
"You back! Your finally Back!"
"I know it's been so long. I almost forgot how you all looked like, heck I forgot how the house looked like." Soda laughed.
"Well,I bet you haven't had a good meal in forever so, I made you some turkey, mashed potatoes and green beans." Darry said
"Oh boy I'm starving."
Soon the Gang all ate, Soda had about five plates of food.
They all gathered in the living room as Soda told stories of the war, some were sad and some were happy.
But the thing that mattered was he was finally back home.
