Darry sitting on the living and everything's dead silent, he suddenly hears laughing in his room. He finds it strange and walkes in the room to see Soda and Ponyboy laughing, the both look up to see Darry standing there and they start whispering and laughing.
"What's so funny in here?" Darry smiled
"Oh, Ponyboy told me a joke it was hilarious" Soda then cracks up in laughter
"Oh what was the joke?" Darry says
"Okay so.....why did the chiken cross the road?" Ponyboy asked
"I don't know why?"
"T-" Ponyboy started to crack up laughing of no where.
"To what?" Darry just slightly laughs.
"To..." Ponyboy then laughs harder and Soda joins in laughing.
Darry just sits there waiting to hear the joke silently
"Why did the chicken cross the road?" Darry asked one more time.
They try to finish the joke but just keep laughing, about twenty million pass and Darry still is waiting to hear the joke.
"You know what, just tell me when your done laughing." Darry almost leaves.
"WAIT, well tell you." Ponyboy said
"Okay."
"So, why did the chiken cross the road?" Ponyboy asked giggling
"Why?"
"I don't know you go figure." Soda and Ponyboy crack up again laughing and Darry just sits there disappointed.
"That joke doesn't even make a person laugh that hard."
"That's the thing, that's why it's so funny!" Soda laughed
"Alright then, I gusse I'll never get those twenty minutes of my life back." Darry then walked out of the room as Soda and Ponyboy keep laughing.
