Going home and breakdowns

Billie's POV:
Today was the day I was able to go home with my baby boy. He had to stay a bit for extra testing. Dad stayed with me for the week and brook had to go to home. I get out of the bed and I go to the bathroom and I change then I put my clothes in the hospital bag and zip it up. I walk out of the bathroom and baby boy was still asleep. I take a picture of him and post it on Instagram with the caption 'Alex nickole O'Connell born on December 25, 2023 at 9:40 am' I post it and then I put my phone away. There was a knock at the door and then the door opens and it was a nurse. "Hey just wanted you to know today you can leave so if you will just sign here and then y'all can get everything and be on your way" "alright" I say as I sign the paper and then the nurse leaves. I change Alex into a new diaper and I put a footed onesie on him and his hospital cap. I pick him up and put him in his carrier/car seat. I carefully buckle him in and then I wake up my dad. Once we was awake he gets the hospital bag and I put a breathable blanket over the carrier. I pick it up and we leave the room and go into the elevator. We go to the first level and we leave out to the car. I put the carrier into the car and dad gets in the drivers seat. I get in the back and take off the blanket. Dad starts driving and I open Alex's balled fist and he holds onto my finger. Once we got to my house I say bye to dad and I get out and I get the hospital bag and the carrier. I get the house keys out of the hospital bag and I unlock the door. I go inside and quickly close the door. "Mommy" brook says running to me. "Hi my princess" I say as i put hospital bag down and ash comes walking over. "Hey babe" "hey" I say as we kiss and brook runs to the living room. Alex starts crying catching the attention of shark. Ash holds shark back and I put the carrier on the couch. I take Alex out and shark comes over. "Shark gentle" I say as shark sniffs him. Alex was still crying so I get up and go to Alex's nursery which ash set up. "It's ok baby boy shhhh" I say as I take off my shirt and since I was wearing a nursing bra I unhook one of the sides and I put him in his feeding position. I move my nipple around his mouth and he latches on. I rub his back as he nurses and after 10 minutes I switch him to my other boob and after 10 more minutes he unlatches so I fix my bra and I burp him. Once that was done I put him in his crib and I put a binky in his mouth. I leave his nursery closing the door and I go to the living room. "Mommy can we play please" "sure baby" I say as I sit on the floor and me and brook play.

(An hour later)
I hear Alex crying so I get up but brook starts whining. "No mommy stay" "princess your brother is crying" I say as I go to Alex's nursery and I pick him up. "Shhhh it's ok baby boy it's ok mamas here" I say as I walk out of the nursery. Ash comes over and sees Alex and she smiles. "Oh my goodness the baby boy is awake" Ash says as she takes Alex from me. "Hi you little cutie" she says and Alex smirks a little making me laugh. "Your just a cute baby huh" I say as I kiss his balled up fist. After a few moments I hear a door slam making Alex cry. "Ash calm him down I'm going to go talk to brook" "ok" ash says as I walk to brooks room. "Brook baby can you let me in" I say knocking. All I heard was little sniffles which made my heart break . "Baby girl can you let mommy in please" "go away mommy, mommy don't love me" after she said that my heart broke again but this time into a million pieces. "What do you mean" "mommy loves brother more and m-mommy doesn't l-love me" I hear her say and I knew she was ticking bad because I heard her whimpering and her breathing sounded heavy. I try to turn the knob but it was locked. 'Why did I put a lock on this door' I think. I check on top of the door frame and there was a key. I unlock the door and open it to see brook having a tic attack and she was crying so hard. I pick her up and hold her tight as she hits me due to her tics. "Baby girl mommy will always love you no matter what, but you have to understand that Alex is little baby, he's a week old and he depends on me and daddy to take care of him, but no matter how much attention we are giving him, you will always get attention ok baby" "b-but you and daddy care about him more" "bubba daddy and me care about you and Alex equally ok, here how about this, when it's night night time you can sleep in mine and daddy's bed" "ok" she says as I rub her back. After the rest of the day brook was clingy so she stayed by our sides and yes she did actually sleep in mine and ash's bed and she was so happy.
