I never imagined I'd discover my soul mate, and now that I have, my Jacqueline, I've never been happier. Like a mate provides the concept of love a whole new meaning and perspective. I feel complete, understood, cared for, and loved in ways I don't understand.

I massaged my eyes and stretched my tight body because I'd been in my office since we went to see the new rouge in the cells, I mean, why try to organise an attack on the kingdom, right?knowing that our defences will always be bigger, stronger, and smarter than theirs...

I glanced over at Apple smartwatch 12:00 after 3 hours of nothing but paperwork and phone calls, and decided to check on Jacqueline, knowing she was missing me and didn't want to bother me. Even though I have my own home on pack territories, I've brought her here to meet the Rising Shadow Moon pack members. I knocked a few times and had no response, then I knocked a couple more times,still no response. I smashed down the door to find no trace of Jacqueline, neither in the bathroom nor in any of the other guest rooms. Where could she possibly be? I attempted to mindlink with her, but she refused.

She not only cut off our connection, but she also blocked it.

Following my conversation with Luno, I strolled straight into Hayden's house, following his smell to the gaming room, where his confused eyes met mine and he raised his eyebrows at me.

Where's she?" I uttered it with clenched teeth.

"Who?" He inquired.

"Duh, Jacy," I deadpanned.

"I'm not sure, she's probably with Aspen,". He shrugged

"Where's Aspen?" I enquired.

"In her room back in my wing," he said, a puzzled expression on his face.

"All right, let's go statue," I called across the corridor.

We both shifted on that count, Luno bowed down to Seth, who acknowledged him with a nod, and we ran into the training field. Luno has always been a unique wolf, with chestnut brown fur and white spots on his back legs and ears, icy blue eyes, and a stature comparable to Seth. We arrived at the pack house in two minutes, shifting back as a guard brought both of us basketball shorts before I slammed the door shut, startling everyone in the entrance and surrounding rooms. With fear, confusion, and worry glistening in their eyes, they parted the way for Hayden and me, and we made it to his wing and Aspen's room. With my gaze, I ordered Hayden to open the door, but all he did was raise his eyebrows.

'Wait, what?' he muttered

"Dumbass, open the door," I deadpanned.

"Why?" He inquired, sceptically.
