Aspen's POV:

Flattered eyes are wide open to the sun through the window. My waist was crossed by an arm. Bliss.

Oh, an arm?

When I glanced around, Ares was soundly dozing off with a smile tugging at his lips. I couldn't help but stare and let my gaze wander through his divinely sculpted body, descending lower and lower till I suddenly remembered what had happened the previous evening.

My back is now against his as he turns me. He takes my hair and lathers it in his shampoo before beginning to wash it.

As his hands combed through my knotted hair, I groaned. After finishing, he cleaned it and added conditioner. He pours some body wash and gets a loofah off the hook before beginning to scrub my body.

Having everything taken care of feels strange. I'm accustomed to taking care of everyone.

He murmured, "Well let me take care of you for the rest time."He kisses me on the forehead "I'll provide you with everything you could ever need and want, and you'll never return to living that life. When the world appears uncertain, I'll be your cornerstone. I'll be your comforter when you cry. Just say the word, and I'll be whatever you want me to be."

His words caused my heart to melt, and I sniffed. I turned to give him a kiss. After finishing with me, he takes a bath, and we exit the already chilly water.

We made the decision to wear matching grey sweatpants and varsity hoodies.
