"I can't believe it's nearly half term already, we'll have finals soon!" Ashido complained as all the girls were gathered in the girls locker room, changing.

"True, but all that's necessary is attending the class, the rest is easy," you shrugged. "You'll be fine Ashido-chan, just flip through the textbook."

"Not all of us are geniuses!" She protested, to which you shrugged awkwardly, buttoning up your blouse.

With the arrival of summer, all the students had switched to half sleeved shirts, most even opting to leave their blazers behind. Many girls stopped wearing stockings underneath as well for more comfort.

You, like the rest, wore a half sleeved shirt along with your blazer which you had tied around your waist, should it get cold.

"Look at this, it's the best discovery in mankind!" You heard Mineta drool. "With this we'll be able to look at the girls when changing, Yaoyorozu's boobs, Asui's cute form, Uraraka's ass, L/N's thighs, Ashido's hips, this is the best thing ever!"

And just as he attempted to look through the peep hole he'd found, Jirou stuck her earphone jack in, pricking him straight in the eye.

"Disgusting," she grumbled.

"Thanks Kyoka-chan!" Hagakure trilled, annoyed by Mineta herself.

You nodded in response, pulling on you skirt and switch from platforms to flats.

"Y/N-Sama, that landing today was so cool!" Ashido awed. "How did you do it?"

"My teacher was someone who was extremely ruthless when it came to shoes," you sighed, remembering the amount of times Midnight had trained you in fighting with heels on.

"No way, I never woulda thought you to be the type to totally rock heels in combat though!" Ashido laughed, jumping with excitement.

You yourself let out a quiet string of melodious laughter at her remark.

"I assure you, Ashido-chan, there's a lot you don't know about me yet not just in regards to fighting," you smiled as you finished tying your tie, leaving the room to find Iida.

"Y/N!" Iida gasped almost instantly, draping an arm around you gently.

Iida was never one to show affection unless he deemed it necessary, which itself was extremely rare. So when he gently hugged you, your worry only grew.

"Everything alright?" You asked, already walking to school, eyebrows furrowed as you noticed his grim expression.

"Sorry about Mineta," he sighed, looking you up and down. "Though I'm glad you're alright."

"Relax Tenya, we'll be fine," you reassured him. "We've got Jirou and her earphone jacks, and worst case scenario I'll just fry him and tell Aizawa it was a happy accident."

"If you say so," Iida mumbled, rubbing the back of his neck nervously.

"C'mon Tenya, I'll be fine!" You smiled, heading into the classroom and setting your bag down. "We're hero students, I know how to defend myself."

"You're right, I don't need to worry," Iida sighed. "I just wish I could do more Y/N, he won't stop."

You shrugged in response and already sat down, the classroom filling in with more students, each entering in groups.

"Settle down," a familiar voice droned, the owner walking into the classroom. "As you all know, your summer holidays are approaching. This time, we'll be going to a forest lodge."

The class instantly cheered at that, everyone eager to relax after everything you'd been through so far.

"However," Aizawa glared. "If any of you fail the final exams in June, you'll be staying behind. In supplementary courses."

You looked over at Iida, an unspoken agreement inbetween you two. In the upcoming month, whoever got the higher score, would gain respect from the other.

The scores had already been settled during midterms, with you being top of the class, Yaoyorozu close behind you while Iida stayed in third. However, now you didn't just have to worry about the rivalry between you and Iida, you knew Bakugo and Yaoyorozu were coming for your head as well.

"Apathy-chan!" Kaminari whined as soon as Aizawa left the classroom, grabbing your hands. "I forgot about finals, you gotta help me!"

"I'm busy, Lightning Bug," you sighed, placing your hand gently on his. "Yaoyorozu-San?"

"I would love to!" She beamed, as more and more came to her for help.

"Why didn't you agree, you're a good tutor," Iida asked.

"Kaminari needed someone like Yaoyorozu, not someone like me," you shrugged, pointing over to the herd she'd gathered. "I'm impatient and inconsistent, we both know that."

There was a crowd around Yaoyorozu, as she eagerly helped them all, an arrangement set to happen every week.

And so, the four weeks began, with students only seeing each other in class and lunch. Most went home immediately, hoarding material, because each one wanted to go to the forest training camp. Though it was all running too smoothly.

"Shoto?" You asked, picking up the phone one night.

The boy had abruptly called you, shocking you.

"I hope I didn't wake you," he mumbled, evidently tired himself.

"No, I was awake already, what happened do I need to come over?" You asked, putting him on speaker, already throwing on clothes.

"No it's ok, I just think he's mad," Todoroki sniffled. "He won't bother me if I'm studying but I don't want to right now."

"Shoto I'm coming over, it's fifteen minutes by train," you scoffed. "Tell Fuyumi-nee to expect me to pop in, I'll knock some sense into your father."

And just as promised, you arrived not a minute later, glowering at the tall man in the household.

"Y/N-" Endeavour stammered, looking down at you.

"You really think you can still have contact to me after everything you did?" You scoffed. "I'm not here for you."

"Stay away from my son, you're a bad influence," Endeavour demanded, causing you to pale visibly.

You curled your hands up into fists, shaking with anger as you controlled yourself from punching him.

They say L/N Y/N was a calm and poised young lady. But they never saw her talking to her abusers.

"I will never leave someone who called for my help, even after they knew it could put them in danger," you glared. "But you wouldn't understand, it's why you're just the number two hero!"

His eyes widened, flames dissipating. For the first time in nearly ten years, you saw him for himself. Not the flames, not the flashy show he put up. Just layers behind layers of scars and wounds.

Layers that were hidden behind a mask.

A/N: filler chapter mainly to introduce the tension with Enji that already existed when her mother was alive.

QOTD: who do you guys think Y/N will be in a team with for finals?

Have a great day/night!
